I got a slow-cooker half price in Robert Dyas last week - I'm a complete f*ckwit when it comes to the kitchen (normally just go and have dinner in Wetherspoons or something) so this thing is my most worthwhile purchase for bloody ages. Being able to just chuck everything in for a casserole or whatever, give it a stir, switch it on and walk away for a few hours is definitely my kind of cooking!

When you think you've got problems you don't really need,
They're maybe not as bad as they seem,
Cos in a world full of misery, with hatred and greed,
Your problems are another man's dream.

Bought myself a new car at the end of last year (and by buy I mean paid the deposit and will continue paying for it for years to come). Skoda Octavia 1.6 TDI. I'm loving it, cheaper on fuel, working air con and an ABS system that doesn't have a fit every time you brake. Such a change from my Alfa 156, which I could probably have stripped and rebuilt by hand the amount of repairs I had to do on it over the past few years.

Whilst on a day trip out today in Leamington Spa, I popped into there CEX and managed to pick up Grim Grimoire for the PS2 for £5. Well Chuffed, and can't wait to sit down a give it a god. I've heard it a gorgeous 2D game to play.

while not super nice, I picked up a Binatone Homesurf 7 android tablet off eBay yesterday for £18. While it isn't great, stuck with Android 1.6, and cant really find much in regards to loading a new OS image on it that isn't my plan for it....one of our cupboards is full of cookbooks and its doing me head in. I plan to download a few hundred cookbooks for the wife, load them on as eBooks/PDFS and let her use the tablet in the kitchen.

I can store the cookbooks in the attic, bolt the tablet to the front of a unit and let her cook to her hearts content....jobs a good un :D

I bought a 50cc scooter to get me back and forward to work. I couldn't afford a new car and dont fancy being left in charge of a fast bike/scooter so a wee 50 seems like the ideal choice for me.

Also bought a nice new case for my 3ds as i'd spilled tea on my last one.

Oh,and a new pepper mill. I have a strange obsession with salt/pepper mills and liquid soap dispensers. Honestly,i need an extra room to house all the excess ones that I own and dont use.

Bought myself a few vinyl's yesterday from a charity shop, the best of which was The Beatles Magical Mystery Tour

I also got myself some Matrix gold edition dvd from Cash Converters, I'd never seen it before but it comes in like a black box type thing, and has a film cell inside, which was the main the reason I bought it, it was only £1.99 too

Amiga 500 plus - Cartoon classics edition, with all the games boxed in mint condition, I'd say the previous owner did not used it at all.
Never had an Amiga before but have always heard so many people saying it was the best computer ever. Tried it last night I have to say it does have a good feel to it, very nice keyboard, great games/music capability and looks awesome. My daughter spent the evening playing with various games on it and loved it :)

For £20 I consider it bargain :)

been into a bit of a smashing pumpkins kick recently, what with the Gish and SD box sets, both ace!

I picked up "Light Into Dark" a compilation from the Chicago music scene in 1989. Cerainly an interesting compilation album, including some early pre-gish smashing pumpkins!
Have you played Atari Today?
