It's well worth going into Game at the moment as they're offloading most of their preowned titles. i picked up Flatout, Ratchet and Clank, Streetfighter Alpha3 Max, Syphon Filter Dark Mirror, Syphon Filter Logans Shadow, Jak and Daxter LF for £1.99 each, Resistance for £3 and Soul Calibur for a fiver. Williams Pinball is still £15 though! Goddammit. I then picked up Metal Slug anthology and Motorstorm AE from CEX. Good week for PSP games.

My PSP's getting lot more use these days, as getting bored of what's being served up on PS3/360.

Emulation side i'm investing in time wise at present, although SHOCK HORROR! wiped the C64 emulator off my memory card-have 1 on softmodded Xbox, but found i'd pretty much played all i wanted to on C64 and these days just went there for the SID tracks, which i have on MP3 anyway.

So, been spending time on the Nes and PC Engine emulator side. Nes mainly-started checking out Nes versions of C64 games (often better visuals, but far worse music-Last Ninja, Platoon etc and hello? The Last Star Fighter? redesigned sprite etc and it's a certain Andy B's C64 shooter. What happened there?).

Have to pop my head in and rave about Half Minute Hero. Had a quick blast on this (Princess 30 mode), and it's brilliant fun, addictive and instantly gratifying. Can see this getting a lot of play. :)

I need to get hold of an original copy of that, kicking myself for not picking it up in Game's firesale. :) I've had a short go of it myself (I have acquired a *ahem* not so original copy for 'testing' purposes  ) and I agree, it's a right laugh. Particularly like the way that each time you save the world, you get a full set of end credits that take longer than the actual game did  (lucky you can skip them).

On another note, also been playing Motorstorm Arctic Edge tonight....I wasn't expecting too much from it but it's really surprised me, it's almost every bit of good as it's big brothers on the PS3 and well worth a play :)

^ Would have bought Motorstorm if they'd had any £2 used copies left, only saw a new one for a tenner. Don't think GAME will get any more in - ours is closing tomorrow.

Has anyone used a Go? I'm still tempted to get one - just not sure about the button layout (esp the thumbstick, seems really far in). I think it'd be a good machine to have in a couple of years time though.

And is it top-heavy when the screen is extended out for playing?

Ah, bugger it....I picked a £1.98 spare up in the firesale (I saw quite a few copies of it going for £1.98 in the end) but I've just given it to my nephew...if I see another one when I'm next in town on Tuesday, I'll grab it for you and you can have it for the price of postage.

Wouldn't surprise me if they put the price of them all back up to £7.99 now though.

As long as you're familiar with the pros and cons (no UMD drive etc) then I would recommend one. I've had mine more or less since it launched, and it's probably my most played console ever. I like it purely for the convenience of having numerous games loaded and ready to play - at present I believe I have around 17 PSP games, 7 PSOne games, 3 minis and 2 Neo Geo games on the system memory.

I also prefer the button layout to the other PSPs, especially the analogue stick as the placement feels more 'natural' to me than the others. The shoulder buttons feel much better too. As for it being top heavy, not really. Your trigger fingers tend to rest naturally behind the top screen when you play.

I'm really happy with mine, and I haven't even got CFW! :)
