The stages aren't always in the same order, so you really need to be paying attention to which stage you're on (which I never am).

By the time I get to the stage 5 boss, doesn't matter which one, there are so many bullets flying around...these ones:

...that my brain just says "This is my stop, must be off - good luck with that though".

I can't really help people out with Stage numbers.. as it tells you at the start of every stage across the middle of the screen, regardless of what order they appear in

Edit: Stage 1 is fixed as Japan. Stage 3 Is fixed as the plane bonus stage. Stages 2, 4 & 5 are random between, America, Brazil & France. Stage 6 is always Australia or the boat level. That's all i've seen

It does seem like that should help. But my short term memory isn't very good and when you're playing the game over and over it's easy to lose track.

Yep, that's supposed to be Brazil.....
Cz was the short-lived currency back then, when inflation was galloping like crazy.

Next time I play I will try the AES cartridge to see if it gets any different from what AMS has listed.

This game can be played on the Neo Geo MVS-AES-CD, Saturn, PS1 & via MAME.

How is it possible on Saturn and PS1?

Ive tried both versions and all regions using the bios and it is really just random. Just had New York as stage 2 using an American character.

On a side note just had my best run.. sort of... 352k after Stage 3.. bummed out on stage 4 on 400+k could've killed my PB on that run. Oh well.

Isn't Sonic Wings Special a compilation of all 3 Sonic Wings games on PS1 & Saturn?? or have I (being the internet) got that wrong? Also isn't there a Sonic Wings comp on ps2 or am I thinking of Gunbird?

It's a kind of arrange mode based off all three Sonic Wings games. It's actually considered the 4th one by some people.

And you're thinking of Gunbird.

No autofire, getting RSI already Hien seems like the best choice for sucking up points but his bomb is weak which is a pain on the later bosses. Might try some different characters out.

I just had a look at the game's final level.

......the dev teams were sure smoking SOMETHING when they came up with that one. And they were smoking ALOT of it.

Seeing the rest of it and learning a couple of tricks, I think I should be able to 1cc this one soon.
