I agree with Rich. The Events City near Urmston is most likely. It's location makes it easy to get to and of course the free parking aspect fits what Dave said.

So are we all crashing at yours? 5000 people should fit in a flat if we stack them. It'll be like human Tetris.

Yep, i'd say event city looks like the most likely option!

An EVENT in the CITY of Manchester?

I have no idea where they could host an EVENT in the CITY.

Think its out of order you're just teasing us with the information. A case of 'we know but you dont', you could just be nice and tell us

Could be where they hosted that Manchester Winter Ales Festival. Think it was more of a conference room, rather than the hotel.

Also, I'm putting this out here right now - if you could get a supply of Manchester Eggs to sell at the venue I, and many of my Manchester bretheren would be eternally greatful!

Well IF its that place its right next to the trafford centre they actually have a fair few good restaurants/snack type places at the Trafford Centre. Chinese/italian, everything, Maccey-D's for Chiptune etc ;) so we'll be well catered for.

For that retro old skool touch i think witchfinder should bring up the burger/chip lady from the famous Stoke show as she was a legend ;)

Aye - some people might see it as a bit "faceless" but there is plenty of choice - Yang Sing Cathay (the restaurant upstairs rather than the fast food outlet downstairs) is a very nice chinese restaurant, although it will be busier than utter, utter hell during the daytime.

Anyway, this is still all conjecture (though it's fun to plan :D)
