I beat Scarlet on Normal on my third attempt yet - as you say - I had more problems with the normal enemies throughout the game, not once did I feel 'overpowered'! I'd seriously recommending stocking up on ammo towards the end, as once I got there I ran out of bullets pretty quick, took me a fair few attempts to beat the end of game boss, had to be very careful.

PS: Toxie, don't be put off, know some peeps hate this game but I thought it was a bit of a gem, it's nowhere near as bad as some of the slaggings make it out to be, in fact I'd actually say it was good.

I got to the last level of Blazing Lazers on the TurboGrafx for the first time ever today and then it totally kicked my arse, boy can that machine shift some sprites!

Is that for the entire game? You never get any extra ammo at all?

I've never played SH: Homecoming, but I don't like that sound of that. :?

You pick extra ammo and guns up during the game, it just you can't hold more than 18 Handgun bullets at one time, the Guns do loads of damage, which make sup for the limited ammo.. You also unlock a Laser Gun with infinite ammo!!

I can't understand the Hate Homecoming gets, 'Scarlet' as 'Jazzfunk' says she is hard to beat but not impossible, Enemies like the Nurses and these things that looks female but the face is triangler and splits open(can't think how to described them better than that) and the masked men with Shotguns can kill you can kill you in 3 hit .. I died loads of times on normal Enemies.. The other reason why there knocking it as it has those Guys in the yellow gas masks and rain coats from the film are on there as enemies... And some kid on Gamefaqs said Konami ruined Homecoming by having 2 Pyramid heads on there, as there was only supposed to be one.. There's was two Pyramid heads on Silent Hill 2

If anything its way to depressing, I just wanted to cut my wrists after playing it.. My friend who watches loads of horror stuff lent it, and even he said it was too miserable. You can have my copy after I finish it, too depressing for me..

Sonic Generations which I received off my mother on my Birthday. Enjoyed the 2D takes on the 3D sonic levels but as I expected, the 3D levels are average to be honest. And I finished it the same day I started it (today) so just challenges and S ranks to go. Not a bad game by any stretch though!

And also on all pokemon games (was on holiday in Wales so was perfect as the missus and I could play together) so finished off Fire Red, Ruby, Heart Gold and Parts of Platinum all to trade to my copy of White!

When I first fought Scarlett It took me ages to beat her, almost gave up!! This time round she was easier just takes quite a while, used the axe to attack her when she was the Big China Doll and the Knife when the China facade came away.. The Ceremonial Knife is by far the best weapon in the game, they told me I was lying on Gamefaqs when I said I beat her!!! I do agree the normal enemies are harder and do far more damage then Bosses

I had a Japanese version on release but as my Jap 360 broke not played it for a while and the Pal version is notoriously hard to find.. I got to the Silent Hill version of Alex'ss House with some heavy playing.. Isn't the last boss a Pregnant woman with big spiders legs growing out of her?? I saw my friend complete it on hard last Thursday, he used that Laser Gun (unlockable infinite gun) on her, and beat her in about 10 seconds.. I remember having a hellish time beating her, though she wasn't as hard as Scarlett.. Then again I liked all the Silent Hill games except The Room, reckon I could get 1000 on it

I vagually remember a Centipede made out of Female Torso's being quite tricky.. I always thought Human centipede the film would be something like from the picture.. I never watched it but was told the Centipede was basically people having there heads stuck up other people's backsides

Still playing the original Mass Effect, it's getting quite interesting now as I've finally worked out how to play the damn thing properly.

Still playing alot of Gailardia on iOS. The further into it I go, the more I love it.

And good grief is it freaking difficult, as this genre goes.

The only other JRPG to hand me my own ass as many times as this one is SMT: Nocturne, and that blasted Matador boss. I never DID get past him. One of these days, I need to go back to that game.

But for now, enjoying this one alot.

What difficulty did you start at?
I chose hard because i wanted a challenge but it REALLY kicks your ass.

The Matador is a bastard but just wait till you have to fight Dante...

Rush Rush Rally Racing Deluxe edition. Great to have a new Dreamcast game to play, nice little package, and great game! I love top down racers anyway, but this is great, nice graphics, varied tracks, lovely. I know it's meant to be tough as nails later on, but so far really enjoying it.

Black Ridge wrote:Played some Digital Devil Saga today after a very long break from it. Its the first game I've played in the Shin Megami series. It does seem very full-on with its progression and appears to require a lot of time to level your characters skills. Just got to a maze like area which took forever to get through. I like the unusual anime like style of the visuals even if it all seems a little grey.

I'm sure I'll probably go on to something else sson though.... all those 'Tales' games to play and Xenoblade/The Last Story.

Me and my girlfriend are expecting another baby in the next few weeks so I probably wont get much game time in anyway!

Finished that a while back, very good ending if you don't know about it. The second is a direct follow up but after 20 odd hours of that I had enough of how hard it was! I really should go back to it.

Playing through mega man powered up and mega man x for psp. Really enjoying both of them alot, this version of X is way broken compared to the snes one though. You can just get all the armor, you don't even need to beat the boss lol. I think the new spots for the armor is kind of dumb, but hey whatever. I'm on sigma right now, hope to beat it today or tomorrow. Power up is fun because I've never spent much time with mega man 1, really love the visuals for these two. They still look really good like seven years later. God damn guts man stage lol, they really want you to do that one first too.

I'm about 14 stars away from beating mario galaxy, I played it pretty much in just three big sittings. It's a good game, the gravity mechanic or lack there of it cool and unique for mario. The controls never feel quite right though honestly, I still feel like I'm fighting the controls whenever things get sticky. I censored hate the spring levels, they are just not fun at all. The bee levels are fantastic though. IDK it's fun, but I would rather play mega man at the end of the day. Mario just isn't as rewarding for me, some of it is but a lot of it isn't.

I started on hard, which is what I usually do.

Ended up losing interest as the solution to most of the challenging bits seemed to be "grind alot", which I usually see as a (really boring) design flaw. Pretty good game otherwise.

.....of course, I SAY I should go back to it, but..... it involves the PS2, so I likely wont, at least, not until there's a PROPER emulator for the damn thing.
