I'm in that cave now with the robot insects would have liked more Supernatural/fantastical enemies..

Also Black Tiger on the PSP lot easier than the Jap version on the Wii

I know what you mean about the unblockable grab attacks. By Chapter 4 everything will be doing that, it does get damn annoying after a while  Mission mode is great fun though, I'm actually enjoying it more than the main game itself!

Working my way through the quite-excellent-really Space Marine.
I might take it online afterwards, or move onto something else.

Silent Hill Downpour. I'm only a couple of hours in and haven't made it to Silent Hill just yet but I've really been liking what I've played so far. The atmosphere is spot on, its actually managed to be scary in places which surprised me and the combat is back to Silent Hill 1 level of clunkyness but is functional none the less. Its at least the most promising SH game I've played since SH3 in my opinion though it'll be interesting to see what the game is like once I reach the town...

Alpha Protocol (360) - from what I've read it seems to be quite disliked, though I'm really enjoying it at the moment.

I have to take my hat off to Suda 51 - I have never in all my 20-odd years as a gamer seen a sequel so effectively fix the problems of the original game. Iffy free-roaming sections? Gone. Boring 'job' sections? Gone (and replaced by cool 8-bit style minigames). Charging you to enter levels thus forcing you to repeatedly play the boring 'job' sections to earn cash? Gone. It's like the original No More Heroes with everything that didn't work removed and everything that did turned up to 11. Which makes it... pretty damn amazing.

Weirdly, now I've played it a bit more I'm starting to miss the first game's more... interesting elements. While it's certainly the better game in just about every concievable way, what NMH2 does is make you realise just how much character those weird, unwieldy sections and obvious flaws added to the first game. The second seems efficient but soulless by comparison.

Absolutely spot on, that's exactly how I felt about No More Heroes 2, as much as I enjoyed it. The overall storyline, as nonsensical as the storyline in both games is anyway, was more enjoyable in the original I thought too.

I also found that the scorpion collection minigame in No More Heroes 2, seemed to be a little glitched. :? Didn't have any problems with it in the first game.

Both No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2 are great games in their own way though. I've got the PS3 port here to try at some point as well (picked it up in the Game firesale)

Let us know what you think of it. I bought it in GAME's crash sale for two quid, but have yet to even open the box.
I don't care if it's not a "$60 quality" game, as long as it's decent.

Still playing NHL Ice Hockey on the PSP - it's been constant since about 5 weeks ago! And to think I bought it for £2 as well.

Trying to whittle down a big PS3 backlog so I gave Destroy All Humans: Path of a Furon a go last night. Now I know the PS2 games weren't exactly a graphical tour de force but they were instantly fun and extremely playable. This third game is ugly, not as funny and just didn't feel right in some way. I guess the fact that Pandemic didn't make this one really shows and it's now in my 'to put on ebay' pile.

After that disappointment, I started the PS3 version of Bioshock. Expected an over-hyped game but no, this is damn good. Really enjoying it so far :)

To be honest I'm only a few missions in and it's already worth the £7 I paid for it a while back. For two quid I'd imagine it's well worth a run through.

There are a few pointless missions where you do literally nothing but apart from that it's quite cool and the story is ok so far :)

Been playing some Tenchu: Shadow Assassins on the Wii. Despite the average reviews it got, I'm having a lot of fun with it, once you've gotten used to the controls and gameplay mechanics it's pretty good. Even if it is just basically Manhunt, but with ninjas.

For contrast I thought alpha protocol was a bag of farts, so your mileage may vary.

I'm playing through me3 for reals now, it's not great, it's struggling to be good even. Some of the missions are pretty good, but a lot of it just feels really contrived and lazy. Wow there are just so many people I use to know in every room on every planet! Oh look all these people I've met before literally everywhere. UGh, what a let down, also I'm an adept so I'm just breezing through it so far. Cerberus can't do censored against an adept, nothing ever can in these games.

Also further into mega man powered up and I'm really loving it, I really am enjoying the graphics and animations. It just feels really high quality every things very polished, you can tell they wanted him to be astro boy just so damn hard. And the fact you can edit levels and play as bosses just adds to it. I could see carrying this one around with me for a long time. Obviously it didn't pay off since it doesn't seem like these psp mega man games did that great, shame.

Also got sega rally on xbla because it was five bucks. Totally worth it, never been a racing fan but I've always liked rally games especially the sega rally games. Did anyone play the new one for consoles? It it any good, it's pretty cheap right now.

I'm really gutted that MMPU didn't do well, though I somewhat wonder at time of release that maybe the DS would have been the better platform to launch the title on but that's all history. The content in the game is crazy. The different characters and difficulty levels alone add tons of hours to it but its the bastard hard mission mode that I loved the most!
