What grinds your gears ?

A guy sells me TV locally and says "any problems? give us a shout". I discover a fault, and typically the seller doesn't return my email or pm. So what does he want me to give him "a shout" for? So he can just laugh at me?

'Comediennes'

women are just not funny. I went to a show last night, 4 random comedians, 2 women. Both of them crashed and burned within 5 minutes and let the hecklers take over the show, 1 guy in particular got singled out as he was hilarious in a deadpan kind of , he was branded 'scottish oprah'. Still, they were better than the female ventriloquist of last year...

I can be quite funny, without even trying just observing the madness around me though I know what you are saying in general female comedians are just not that funny, that Sarah Milican is a little bit funny but in almost cringe worthy way, I was surprised to read she was only 36 as well.

there is a girl who is half Iranian? half british? i cant remember her name, but she pops up on live at the Apollo every now and again, and i just cry with laughter when i see her on tv.
Always said if she comes to my town for a show i would go and see her.

Its not comediennes who are crap, its much of their material. They focus on things that aren't of interest too often.

On form, Sarah Millican can be hysterical, but she can easily fall into the 'I'm a girl, I'm a bit fat because I like cakes but I still fancy blokes and stuff' trap. She does have an eye (or ear) for observational comedy and a fairly quick mind for witty retorts which works well during interviews or live events.

I guess there''s just not as many good examples due to the volumes involved - men far outweigh women in the comedy arena, so there's more memorable men that spring to mind. There's thousands more ropey ones too to offset that.

The perception isn't helped by the fact that all the female-led comedy shows (at least since Smack The Pony finished) have been utter crap.
Watson & Oliver, Katy Brand, Tittybangbang, 3 Non Blondes - bilge, the lot of them.
I'm sure there are loads of great women comediennes on the circuit - it's just that TV execs only seem to sign the sh1t ones.

You know what really grinds my gears?!... The fact that you make a friend then a couple of years later you really trust them then they punch you in the face and then start mocking you!!!!!!!!!!!

What really grinds my gears is when somebody goes on to an internet forum and makes multiple posts in a short space of time. They then get upset when somebody calls them out on it and make multiple accounts because their original account is rightfully blocked.
