I'm not going near that demo. Don't want to spoil my excitement when I eventually buy it.

Ah, that's a moot point for me as I can't use/see the 3D effect so I just have it switched off all the time anyway. I haven't got a problem holding it at all, just hold it exactly the same way as I do when I used to play Metroid Prime Hunters a lot, or whenever I've played the DS Modern Warfare games,

Glad you made a profit mate, but I'm sad you let it go! Believe it or not, the controls really work perfectly on the default settings. I don't know how it happened, but they just clicked for me and now I just wouldn't go back. They are on a par with a WASD and mouse PC set-up for accuracy.

I read a review of the game in Nintendo Gamer I think it was, and they said that Nintendo asks a new control system of gamers. Its hard to get the hang of - I tried other button-based set-ups, but eventually went back to the deafult set-up and stuck with it as I had faith in Nintendo knowing best, and the fact that the button control systems are crap.

If Nintendo ever get round to releasing a demo, give it a go and you might get on a little better with it. The game is amazing once it all works out. I can't put it down in all honesty!

I have gotten the positioning nailed now and have put a silly amount of hours into the game now. Like I said above, it does ask a significant time investment and a period of adjustment from the player. Once that is sorted, the game offers hours and hours of fantastic gameplay online and off.

The new Epic Mickey 3DS game is going to be pretty much Scribblenauts DISNEYFIED!

Liking the look of traversing a mish mash of different Disney worlds to save them from Mizrabel, almost like KH without of course the Square characters.

Downloaded Dragon Crystal from the virtual console. I'll proably get Shinobi too at some point. It's good to see there's more than just Gameboy games being included now.

Anybody else tempted to buy 20 copies of Official Nintendo mag just for the Kid Icarus AR cards?
Probably just me

Is the mag offering certain cards or just a random pack?

Might nab it if they're rare cards that can only be obtained in the magazine.

I work at a newsagents and opened a mag up to see the goodies. It looks like a typical booster pack type packet with Promo Cards written on the pack. I'm assuming every mag has the same cards inside

Well in my pack i got:

Three Sacred Treasures
Mik
Daphne
Meteor Bow
Ogre Club
Soulfee

If anyone picks up the mag and gets the same then we can assume its an identical booster pack for all of them.

Sweet, looks like they are all different then.
Im wondering how many there could be aswell. One of my cards has 329 on it. Gonna be a LOT to collect in that case. I hope Nintendo makes them more widely available outside of special promos and Club Nintendo reward trades.

Feeling the 8 year old card collecting obsession returning...

i usually agree with most of thing that ngamer write but for this game i dont! its also the fact that the game requires constant use of the touch screen, i tend to avoid games that rely on heavy use of the touch screen. D-Pads & buttons all the way

Not me, i havnt even opened that pack that came with the game, when i traded the game in i forgot to take the outer box, 3ds stand & cards in with me so still got them, might bang it all on ebay as the cards seem to be going for silly money...
thats untill the bottom drops out of it when every buys ONM and does the same thing

I still haven't opened my Kid Icarus AR cards yet, either the pack that came with the game or the pack I got free with ONM. Will report back about what I've gotten in there when I do. :)

@NewMonkey That's crazy that they gave you £30 for it without the outer box, stand or cards. :) I'll be surprised if they're able to sell it for that much without them.

what do the cards actually do? is it just a 3d image like that built in AR Card thing or do they actually give you in game items and stuff? :?

I haven't tried out the cards yet. Never really used the AR stuff on the 3DS - I just play games on it in all honesty. Must try out some of the cards as I have a few on the way from Ninty.

I'm up to chapter 18 on the game now - probably finish it over the weekend and then go back through it to get better weapons. I have a superb laser staff that is 4.5 on both range and melee so its likely to be good enough to take me to the end of the game. The range is unbelievable on the staffs

I have to say the bosses are a bit too easy and the middle, on-foot stages tend to be a little over-long at times. Over all though, this is a superb game and I can't wait to get me teeth into the multiplayer in earnest once I get some really good weapons.
