I've had a few more credits. It's only a matter of time and this 1st loop is mine! mwahaha!

Seriously though if anyone knows how to get the easier last boss appear over the eye boss, then do please share.. if i can get that one, he drops vegetables which are worth 1k each too.. that's how i got my 110k score.. he's considerably easier than the eye boss, and his patterns are pretty non-existent to remember it seems.

Nice to see an 11th submission who is now known to us as, Dad. Also good to see 2 new players this game. I had a dream/nightmare the other night that this league went global and there were so many submissions I had to hire staff to keep up with the ranking changes

I'm planning on pulling an all nighter on this on Monday into Tuesday til I've got that damn 1st loop tied up. I'll then probably call it a day, it's becoming a bit intense and rage inducing with lucking out on around 900k scores now. One damn stray nutjob bullet and it can cost me my temperament and credit. Not too worried if I beat Mero's score or not, it's not about the league placing for me. Just want it done and the 3 bonus points will suffice for closure. Can't imagine having to go through all 10 stages each time just to get a practice at the 2nd loop each credit. *shudders* I rarely play a game as long as this, to feel like I have unfinished business, because business never really starts.

Before where i thought Stages 6, 8 and 9 were tough, they really aren't that bad. Stage 6 boss must be taken out segment by segment if you want score. I think i mentioned this previously. The ship has 9 seperate parts. Stage 9 boss is a long fight and Stage 10 really gives you no grief, just these stupid slow moving balls that spit 3 way bullets at you at easy to gauge intervals. The monkey boss seems to stop firing at you completely and you can just take him out. Not sure if there's a reason or it's a glitch on my MVS cart.. but more often than not he sends out a mass of super fast small bullets, then mini monkeys and then just farts around the screen begging to be put out of his misery.

I still hate the rank in this game (i won't be nominating/voting Psikyo games for awhile). It's possible to suicide like Kollision mentioned and really does help for scoring if you don't get Brazil as Stage 2. There are generally more enemies with higher rank though, so the points soon mount up particularly on Stage 8.

I think i've now put as many hours into this game than just about any shmup I've ever played. I'm guessing 20-30 hours easily. Made easier because I've given up all other types of gaming or genre for this year so far.

Aye, that's one problem with some of Psikyo's games: They're too bloody long.

.....and one problem with non-console shmups in general.... you have to go through the damn stages every time you want to practice just ONE of them. No pleasant, simple "practice" mode here. I for one am usually not very willing to spend 20 damn minutes just REACHING a particular stage if I just want to practice at that one stage.

Decent chance that I'll end up not doing another score for this one anyway though. Not quite interesting enough. I keep just going back to Eschatos and Futari.

Been playing this a fair bit this week, finally I managed to improve my score

Pleased to have got this far, I didn't honestly think I'd beat 2-2. On the 2-3 bonus stage I was expecting all the enemies to fire suicide bullets at you when destroyed, but they don't so if you can get that far you're basically adding a free 100k (or however much) to your score. You get given 2 bombs on 2-3 as well, which came in handy on 2-4 (still got killed though). Paris is very hard in the second loop with all the popcorn enemies and suicide bullets (got Paris as 2-4), as 2-2 I got New York which is probably the easiest of the 2nd loop random stages. I even managed to get one of the point items at full value there.

Having played this quite a bit I reckon there's probably something like a 1 in 10 chance of getting the ghost final boss, I've had him 3 times this week, but got the regular eye boss many times. Supposedly there's a third super-rare final boss that's worth tons of points, but I've never seen him.

And as I was saying, on MVS arcade defaults this game only has 1 extend, at 200k. All the other Sonic Wings games only have extend too.

I was about to play Toejam & Earl, but I lost my password due to a memory card problem. Had to re-format the SD card in my camera. So, I decided to give this non-game one more go:

I've started my all nighter on this. I'm determined I'll get it done by morning. Hit a few 800k's and a few high 900k's so far, but had another freak credit where i got game over at 200k so Gonna do a few more credits and then grab a few hours sleep. Burnt out a bit quicker than i planned, but it has been a heavy weekend.
