Durrell for me, consistantly the most fun games I wanted to play. Ultimate had the games with the 'Wow' factor, but for some reason did not enjoy playing them as much.

When I had a spectrum I remember liking a lot of the activision conversions and games so I'll pick them.

I'd like to see some love for Hewson. Not only did they have the amazing Rafaelle Cecco writing for them and making me proud to own a spectrum with polished titles such as Exolon, Cybanoid and Stormlord, but they also released the excellent shooter Zynaps and inventive Nebulus. They were one publisher I was aware were always consistent.

There have been features on both Hewson and Rafaelle Cecco very recently

I was too cool for a Speccy so I got a CPC464 and rocked the street with my green screen.

I'd say Raffaele Cecco because it's probably italian like me. And, y'know, italians do it better.

Pete Cooke, who gave us Micronaut One and Academy amongst others. He was an amazing programmer on a technical level who got an awful lot out of the ZX Spectrum, achieving reasonably-fast first person 3D and a WIMP-like interface on some of his best games. It was as though he took an 8-bit machine and tried to make it pretend it was 16-bit.
