Only thing I can add to the lists being given is:

Pacman vs

Gameboy Player.

I think I probably didn't give my gamecube a fair go when I had one back when they were current. a few disappointing titles I bought probably coloured my opinion of the machine, as there are some interesting titles listed here I didn't know about.

Cheers will do if I'm unsure of a few prices

Thanks for some of the suggestions too, some of which I've either played or owned at one point such as Eternal Darkness (Brilliant game but I sadly didnt get far since I found it a bit difficult at the time) and Pikmin 2 etc. In fact it's been so long I can't remember if I actually owned some the games or just borrowed/rented them.

I'm deffinatly wanting to get the Mario games and that sort of thing although they are pretty pricey it seems

I'd be up for a trade I guess although I'm not really sure what you'd be looking for and I'd rather keep the gamecube games I have if that's what your after (Don't mean to sound rude or anything :) )

Remebered about Spider-Man 2 and the Prince of Persia games earlier, they are definitely worth picking up.

No probs, it's no going anywhere so there's no rush to sort anything out.

I found Eternal Darkness a little tricky the first time I played it because I didn't get my head around the magic system, when I came to play it again and got to grips with the magic system it was so much more enjoyable, not to mention easier (in a good way).

It may have changed now, but for a quite a while Mario Sunshine was an easy £5 pick up. Same for Pikmin and Metroid Prime. But it does feel like Gamecube collecting has become fairly popular among gamers now which seems to be pushing the prices up, especially the 1st party games.

I reckon the 1st party games might be worth prioritising spending wise in the sense that the multi-plat games can often be picked up much cheaper (sometimes literally for pennies) on the PS2, the XBox and the PC. For example while say Windwaker at around £20 might seem expensive, you could find yourself paying around £5 on several multi-plats you could otherwise pick up on PS2 for 99p or something. So you could save on multi-plats and put the money towards the exclusives.

Though it's worth doing the research on them as some multi-plats are regarded as superior/preferable on the Gamecube (such as Killer 7), though of course it's still up to you to decide if the difference is worth the extra cost.

waste of time collecting for the GC....oh, hang on

seriously, good advice already been given, so i don''t need to add much to that really.....although if you were planning on getting a full set, i'd say get the Euro only games in sooner rather than later.

A few rarities like:

Teen Titans
Avatar: The Legend of Aang
Taxi 3: Le Jeu
TMNT (the German one)
The Cocoto games (kart in particular)
Ratatouille

will cost a lot to track down in the future and games such as Flushed Away ,Frogger Beyond , Shamu, KND codename VIDEOGAME , ones perhaps you wouldn't think of as being uncommon are quite typically hard to find and/or expensive....same goes for a few of the Spongebob games.

As mentioned CeX, Cash Convertors/Generators, charity shops, market stalls, carboots are likely to be your main sources of games if you don't want to shop online. If you do use ebay, it'll get expensive....trust me on this

Good luck, and enjoy your hunting :D

PS If you get a list of games you want, let me have it.....i tend to notice GC games in the wild.

I don't rate the Spidey games. I'd heard they were pretty good, with the swing mechanic (especially on Wii) drawing you in, but I found them rather bland and repetitive. Lots of samey missions around a blocky cityscape. Not quite sure what all the hype was about with these.

Maybe it's just that they were actually decent superhero/movie-tie-in games for a change.

Incredible Hulk: Ultimate Destruction on the other hand never gets old, easily one of the best superhero games I've played.

The first Spidey game on the Cube I can agree with as it's clunky, repetitive and boring but the second one does address all that which is why I really like it. I can spend ages just swinging about and for a couple of quid I think it's definitely worth picking up.

Amazing Island
Gotcha Force

to name but two.

I'd chip in here and give another point of view on Gotcha Force - it's one of my favourite games on the system - a decent one player experience, worth it to get loads of uber robots collected, and a quite brilliant (and well balanced) two player battle mode (with admitted camera issues). Love that game. Like Virtual-On on crack.

I'd recommend Spiderman 2 as well - not exclusive, but a brilliant version, and the best 'I'll whack this on and f**k about because it's an awesome playground' game up until Just Cause 2 surpassed it.

I gave up with it due to the combat just feeling very dated and unwieldy. It was often very hard in the later levels to fend off some of the monsters when I felt so under-powered. A shame really because I loved the innobative insanity effects and the general story. I still have the game so I may give it a second chance in the future.

I really didn't like the first Spiderman movie game. It looked like an advancement on the two PS1 games (similar play style etc.) but it was hard to control and highly frustrating at times (fighting the robots in mid-air for example) so I got rid. Spiderman 2 is ugly graphically but that shouldn't be a put-off because the gameplay and freedom was just amazing at the time and a true Spiderman 'experience'. I sold this for some reason but recently played it through again on PS2 and I was still immersed.

Spiderman 3 was just a glitchy, ugly and crap nightmare. Everything else afterwards has also received pretty bad reviews but the new Spidey game for the upcoming movie reboot is supposed to be another free-roaming game.

Back to the 'cube though, Beach Spikers needs more love. It's DOA Xtreme but without as much emphasis on perviness and it has actual gameplay. It's another classic blue-skies Sega sports game with themed stadiums and unlockable Sega character-themed swimsuits. Don't think it costs too much either.

If the DK Bongos sound like fun, then the Donkey Konga games can be fun, especially in multiplayer. DK Jungle Beat is also a great platformer with the bongos too, worth picking up. ;)

Thanks for the suggestions again guys.

I'm definitely looking at getting a gameboy player at some point.

Spider man 2 was a brilliant game, in fact I just got it free in a buy one get one free on PS2 so I do't have to worry about games like that. As someone pointed out the multi platform games are mostly cheaper for other consoles so I'm not really looking at getting a complete collection more a collection of must have's really although I know that's subjective.

I just picked up Eternal Darkness and Starfox to add to my little collection, and Wario Ware should be coming from ebay at some point. Next one my list to pick up is Viewtiful Joe.

I'll just keep my eye out in charity shops and Cash Converters and the like I suppose you never know what you might find.

That bit of kit is absolutely essential. Follow that up by buying a Wavebird and you can't go wrong. :)

I've been playing Gadget Racers a bit over the last couple of days. Might be worth picking up if you see it. It's one i'd not played before, but its really good fun. Sort of like 3d micro machines but with a few weapons ala MarioKart. Not got too far into it yet but there seems plenty of customisation/car collecting things to keep you interested. The courses i've tried so far are pretty short, but nicely varied.

Yes, if you see a Wavebird it's an essential purchase. I got one from CEX last year for £18 (unboxed, but really good condition).

There's lots of shouts here for a Gameboy Player - I have one too, but you know what, I've never used it! I do have a couple of GBA's though.
