This is how to made a great shooter.
Vehicle sections dont feel tedious
A nice nod to Descent
Shit blowing up
Awesome guns

Black hole gun, oh what fun, sucking stuff away, black hole gun, oh what fun oh what fun

Have you got the unicorn weapon? The noise it makes is enough to warrant its use in ever situation.

The DLC, while short, fills in a few gaps to the story so might be worth a look.

Incidentally, do you have this on 360 or PS3?

Star Wars the Force Unleashed. I liked the concept and it did get better once my force powers levelled up somewhat but it was riddled with bugs and problems and unfair difficulty hikes that pissed me off on more than one occasion. Good fun while it lasted but it could have been much better.

That sums up my experience of Force Unleashed exactly. Some of the force powers were a bit ott but definitely a lot of fun to play with. Bringing down the Star Destroyer was brilliant but made whatshisname seem a bit to powerful in the scheme of Star Wars things. I enjoyed it enough to want to play Force Unleashed 2, but I haven't gotten around to buying it yet.

I preferred the sequel, but it's horrifically short. The difficulty doesn't spike so much and the bosses are nowhere near as frustrating or dull.

Fortunately the short running time is mitigated to an extent as there are loads of challenges to play alongside the campaign. They add a bit of high score goodness to the game.

Star Killers power level seems completely inconsistant. He can tear a SS out of the sky yet a group of storm troopers can kill him if your not careful. Also on that note why is it that the empire have all these powerful Storm Trooper units that can counteract the force, they'd have beaten the rebels senseless if they used them in the movies

I did play through the DLC as well as I got the PC version for £3 off steam a while back. The jedi temple was censored, I gave up at the mind puzzles as they were shockingly awful. The hoth level was great, a short walk through Wampa caves before breaking into Echo base and beating down rebels with Snow Speeders and killing Luke. Ditto the Tatooine level, in a few seconds I'd already smashed a Jawa village and knocked the sand crawler over a cliff! A trip to Jabba, killing a Rancor and Fett later and I'm faced with a strangley funny fight with Obi Wan, flinging him around like a ragdoll then killing his ghost for some reason. I'd say these two bits of DLC were better than 90% of the main game easily, I loved going through movie locations unleashing chaos

Star Wars: Renegade Squadron.

I got this because I loved the Battlefront games on the Xbox, but converting them to the PSP really wasn't a great idea.

The control scheme relies on a lockon feature, which sometimes switches targets without you wanting it to. When you're up against a large number of enemies, this can quickly get you killed. It doesn't help that your allies hate you and refuse to work with you in any way, shape or from. They'll even leap in front of a laser blast aimed at a stormtrooper in order to annoy you.

Also, the enemy AI in the land battles is really inconsistent. After doing everything they can to stop you completing one objective, they'll suddenly get bored and wander off, leaving you free to complete the next objective without having to fire a shot.

The space battles make up for this to some extent, especially when things get a bit crowded, but they're nowhere near good enough to make the game worthwhile. Oh, and the scrolling text at the beginning makes the Phantom Menace introduction seem thrilling.

Star Wars Battlefront belongs on a PC or home console, the PSP simply can't do it justice. I have no intention of trying Elite Squadron after this. :(

Starkiller! That's the guy! I'd forgotten about the anti-force nonsense :? Yea, that was a bit cr@p really. The DLC sounds good but I'd finished and sold the game before it was released. I may have to pick up this game again and get the dlc too - you make it sound pretty darned good fun. Playing on the darkside IS brilliant!

Just don't get the Jedi temple DLC, its crap. The other two bits of DLC are worth it in my opinion, your force powers are all maxed out so you do feel pretty badass most of the time!

I completed the main story missions in Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City - clocked in at just under 5 hours. Still, it plays more like Left 4 Dead than a traditional story based game so I'm not overly worried about the length. The levels were brilliant fun, no hassles with the controls, no glitches, it's an absolutely fab game!!

Only disappointing aspect was the story, it makes no attempt to hide the fact that you do not in any way contribute to any of the important events during the Raccoon City Outbreak, you simply wander around and shoot the resulting BOW's as said events take place.

Just started on the multi player and it is BRILLIANT - There's a great mode that pits 4 v 4, you fight for 8 minutes and each time you die your respawn time increases. At the end a chopper comes and it only seats 4, if you get on you get bonus XP. What starts as co-ordinated team based combat quickly descends into chaos as everybody is shooting everybody for a place on the chopper  brilliant fun

The final part of the fight with Vader........good Lord, I nearly broke my controller over that. It's nice to have a darker, more adult take on the Star Wars universe, but the execution let it down. It was one of those games I completed then consigned to the shelf. Never tried the DLC as I refuse to pay such an outrageous price for the sake of a few levels
