War hammer 4000 space marine for the pc. The beginning few levels are great fun, mowing down orcs en mass with a mix of gun and melee attacks. Then when the new lot of enemies show up 2/3 of the way through the game it gets worse, enemies depleting your health bar so quickly that it had me wanting some kind of cover system. Thankfully the last chapter and boss fight were actually really fun, the jet pack sections were fantastic but I wish it got used far more than it did.

Hydrophobia for the pc. It was ok, the gunplay hurt the game though, I personally think it would have been a much better game without the shoot outs with just te exploration and puzzles like disaster report or SOS for the ps2. THe water did look nice though!

Sadly I said goodbye to Kyle Hyde last night with the completion of Last Window: The Secret of Cape West.

Really enjoyed playing it, that and Hotel Dusk.

Finally finished Half Life!

I distinctly remember the bit where I got stuck all those years ago, and yet it doesn't seem to feature in the version I just played! Hmmm...

Or I have a hopeless memory (I know which is more likely)

I finished the main story of Arkham City - I don't think I'll bother with every single Riddler puzzle, etc. but I don't have much else to play at the moment other than going back to Skyrim or some SEN stuff I've downloaded recently.

Finished Binary Domain last night...jeez that was fun!
I have never been a big fan of Third Person shooters and of late shooters in general have bored me due to how samey they all feel. But I started hearing a lot of people saying how refreshing this one was and, as a huge Cyber-punk fan I figured I'd give it a go.
For anyone who hasn't played it, do so immediately. The story is excellent, the gameplay exciting and for once the guns feel suitably powerful when usually the basic guns in games are pathetically weak and pointless.
I enjoyed all 14 hours of it and look forward to playing through again to get the other endings :)

Mindjack on 360. Don't listen to the reviews, you could have a lot of fun with this and all for a fiver. Some amazing dialogue too, for all the wrong reasons, but it made me laugh which is more than a lot of games manage. The game has a few flaws, fighting the same few enemies is the main one and an imbalance between hackers online, but I'd give it a 6 or 7 out of 10.

I've often considered this as I love Cyberpunk stuff but my worry is how useful the Mindjack feature is?
Syndicate had a few abilities which were basically useless for 90% of the game so am always suspicious....
So would you say it is useful enough to make the game more than a generic shooter?

*EDIT* Actually, I just watched this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eK4u4uez ... re=related
4:25 onwards put me off playing it lol

Completed Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII last night. Loved the twist at the end and the link into Final Fantasy VII. Only completed about 40% of the side missions so I'm tempted to play it through again at some point. It's probably the first game I've played through from start to finish this intensely as I've probably played it most days since I bought it in the Game sale - can't remember the last time I did that with a game!

Finished off Bioshock at last yesterday. Great game and definitely worthy of the praise it gets.
