Wanted: Amstrad 464 items or other Amstrad HW

Hey guys,

Just really testing the water here - I've already got an Amstrad 464 with colour monitor and games but really keen at the moment to expand this collection further with additional games or additional hardware/accessories.

Im also looking to get hold of the Amstrad Action magazines again so if anyone has a bulk load sat gathering dust then I'd definately be interested in possibly buying them or even trading items for stuff currently listed in my Mega Clearout list.. :D

Lastly im also considering expanding on the 464 itself - I've never owned a 464 Plus, 664 or 6128 and those are definately units I'd be interested in adding into my collection if they're available in good condition and at the right price 8)

So let me know what you've got guys and we'll go from there...

Cheers.. Marcus

Marcus,

If you ever get a spare copy of the Challenge Of The Gobots game that you don't want - cassette or disk - let me know and I'll take it off your hands! I'm desperate to get my hands on both to fill in gaps in my collection!

Hi Marcus,

Unfortunately I've got nothing to trade but have you also tried posting in classifieds section on the CPC Wiki forum (http://www.cpcwiki.eu/forum/index.php) as well?

I've got a GX4000, 6128, 6128 Plus modded with cassette interface and a HxC I am using to load the games. If you're looking to expand your collection of CPC's I'd suggest the original 6128 next. You get the 128k RAM, cassette interface missing off the 6128 Plus and disk drive and you can have the ABBA switch in the external drive cable if you want to use an external drive (whether is be 3 or 3 1/2 inch drive) or HxC. That way you should be able to run almost everything, especially as the new R-type game reviewed in issue 101 is designed to run from a 3 1/2 inch disk.

There's some new hardware that comes up from time to time such as the Megaflash and USB mouse adapter although they're not really game related.

Good luck

Nice one matey - I've not been across to the CPC forum before so I'll sign up and see what they've got to offer :D
