Wowee! Never expected this. First go this evening, beat Mevious and sooooo close to defeating Memory - 2 health left - when she blitzed me with everything AND the kitchen sink! So I haven't quite managed a 1cc, but quite honestly I don't care. This is a major pb, and quite unexpected.

Funnily enough since my last submission, i took a break from the game and shmups altogether for a week, and been playing the quite frankly amazing, Trials Evolution. I've played nothing else except shmups all year, bar a 4 hour stint on Mass Effect 3.. taking a break was good.

Don't really 'get' this game still but the high score run was just shy of 12 minutes Beat Memory on my last life with half a heart myself.

Please, no more..

Cheers! Got no idea how I did it. Had just gotten an extra life before facing off with Mevious and was on 999k when I beat him - so a score increase fighting Mevious of nigh-on 500k! Although reduced to my last life, all was going ok - no gain, no loss - when Mevious started to chip away at my armour. Then...all h3ll broke loose: chaining started so rapidly and repeatedly that my half of the screen was filled with chaining explosions before moments later Mevious' side doing exactly the same. I couldnt' see anyting for the clouds of explosion, but just kept shooting and moving. Bats everywhere. WTF?! A couple of Perfects were announced, but the onslaught just kept going. By the end of it I was hanging on and Mevious had gone. Startling!

Goodness knows if I can do it again - I think Prudence and Providence lent a hand that game; so I hope they come back! Might have chance tonight for another shot. We'll see.

I'm not sure if the game's rank goes up if you score less. I've cleared it on a very low 500k (not including life bonuses at the end), and it certainly seemed less brutal.

Mevious really does go bat sh#t crazy doesnt he? If anything, he should be the final boss imo.

Your score is impressive Sputryk. You certainly deserve the all clear now. Even if it's a lesser score, the 3 bonus points would be nice and your current score would still stand. Good luck.

It is a super frustrating game Grunthos. Shame you haven't more time to dedicate to it. Life eh?

Good work AmidStorm . I saw on my phone yesterday that you'd done a good score with Mevious so I decided to try him out myself.

My score here got a 100k boost by finishing with a spare life in stock. Total time is only 6 and a half minutes which surpised me, I had a epic battle with Memory that seemed to last forever.

I think the reason I couldn't break 1.5 million with Memory is that she's just too devastating, she tends to kill your opponent when you're in the middle of a big chain and her boss attack is nasty as well. I've changed my mind about the extra attacks now, Memory's are definitely much more dangerous than Mevious' bats.

Thats a mighty score mero. Congrats. Sadly I don't think I'll get another chance to play it now before the midnight deadline tonight. What I liked about mevious is the speed of his normal attack. I barely used the power shot at all.

Question: may be a bit late asking now but what the hell does the star token do? I got the $ coin chaining which was quite handy in long fights. How often do coins appear too? Never did suss it out.
