Digital Foundry: ZX Spectrum v Commodore 64

Postby Havantgottaclue on Sun Apr 29, 2012 11:56 am

Here's another comparison article between the two 8-bit giants of the 1980s. Is it another victory for the beast of beige, or does the plucky rubber-keyed miracle manage to topple it?

Also includes reminiscences from Zzapers Rignall, Jarratt, Glancey and Randy.

Great article and pretty well-balanced. I like the fact that it starts off maybe gushing a bit about one machine but rather cunningly subverts it all by informing the reader about the differences and strengths of each platform, then not settling on any definite conclusions. Lovely bit of writing.

the mass effect 3 of gaming articles, brilliant all the way through and then a botched ending that answers nothing......
