Nailed it! So apparently there are THREE isometric type games on the Game Boy, that I've found so far.

It's obviously C64 but it looks like a magazine type-in, or one of those games from one of those early book/cassette combos, like the Times Book of Computer Puzzles and Games. (which, amazingly, is listed at Amazon in the US - here!
