Star Gladiator isnt the best 3D fighter is it. The whole thing feels slow and clumsy.
I asked for orange. It gave me lemon lime!

Still chipping away at the brilliant Persona 3 Portable on PSP. Not had the chance to get near anything else really.

Spent the afternoon playing Flipnic (weird and definitely one for another go) , Transformers (rotf) , Outrun 2006 , Hyper SF2 , Gottlieb Pinball , SVC Chaos ,Blast Radius and Spyro / Spyro 3 on Ps1 / Ps2.

Showing the boy a few of my games , having a boys afternoon and also going through the to play or sell pile.

Is that the one where the characters say 'Delicious!' or am I thinking of something else?

Hannah from Cadilliacs and Dinosaurs says 'Delicious!' when she picks up the Meat.. This one is just Zombies and the first boss looks like 'Egon Spenglar' from the real Ghostbusters..

I bought the 'Komplete Edition' for PS3 (the game plus all the DLC on-disc - yeah!) and loved it which is strange as I'd always disliked MK and Armageddon put me off the series forever until I tried the latest game. Simple but very playable with amazingly gory x-ray moves  . My favourite characters to use are Kitana, Skarlet, Cyber Sub-Zero and Sonia.

Today I've been trying out some games to decide whether to keep them or get rid (having a bit of a clear-out) so played Psychic Force for the PS1 (nice idea but not really that interesting) and both Gundam Battle Assault games (first one is OK but the second one is GREAT!).

Yeah, the latest mk is really unlike the previous games. The combo system really feels fleshed out, it's not to complicated but not to simple either. Plus I felt the move back to 2d worked in its favour, it's way more entertaining than the 3d ones.

Noticed this morning that Super Monday Night Combat has gone 'free to play' on Steam so have been playing it on and off all day.

A brilliant mix of 3rd person shooter and tower defence. I can tell already its going to be my crack for a while!

Binary Domain (PS3) - only played it a short while so far. Seems reasonable enough.

The Orange Box. I'm not generally a puzzle fan, but Portal really is a wonderful game and Half Life 2, along with episodes 1 & 2 are still some of the best FPS ever made.

Can we please have Half Life 3 now. Although, it better have the best damn ending in the history of video games............

Haze on PS3, was £1.98 in the GAME firesale not long back. Odd game, it's by Free Radical yet doesn't really have the 'feel' of a Free Radical game (in fact, it has very little 'feel' at all), it has an extreme lack of textures which make it look a bit like an early Xbox 1 FPS, it's really dull-looking, flat and devoid of visual flair or character plus you have very little interactivity with environments, it all just feels really empty and under-designed and the levels are all just beige and brown sprawling messes. In its favour, though, it has really accurate shooting mechanics (this element DOES make it feel a bit like a Free Radical game), and it feels really swish to headshot distant enemies as the controls are so easy to use.

Plays nicely, just a pity it's sh!t in nearly every other respect - F.R.'s Timesplitters 2 on Xbox1 looked better than this, how frustrating! Anyway, I shall persist with it, 'tis not a baaaaad game. ;)
