Yeah that rings a bell. And then when they did what they had to do (blow something up or other), it basically ends with - "well, there are lots more of these things to blow up." So....that's it then? Thanks!

Robocop is showing at FACT in Liverpool next month if anyone is local. I think Terminator was on last week (though I've seen that on the big screen :D )

Either way is most excellent, but only the first Robocop is worth a damn. The second is slightly ropey the third just awful.

I think I woulod go Terminator if someone put a gun to my head.

hahahaha .. same goes for me. i'd go for Terminator.

I saw Terminator 2 recently for the first time in a looooooong time, probably since original release, and man that film is wicked awesome. Just the right amount of effects ie; minimal cgi which I find looks like cartoons.

Matey boy as John Connor was excellent and surprisingly un-annoying. Shame he did the usual child actor thing and ended-up a bit of a coke head.

First time I've looked at this thread  . I voted Robocop and, well, it's nice to see it in the lead! Robocop gets everything right and doesn't take itself too seriously.

Robocop is on at the FACT Centre in Liverpool next week, Tuesday 15th May.

Flash Gordon is also on there on Monday 14th May.

"What do you mean, Flash Gordon approaching?"

Others on in May/June - Akira, Superman (Reeve), Planet 51, Oldboy.

Anyone with the opportunity should go see Oldboy, it's one of the best revenge stories ever made. And Robocop, of course.

Not to say Terminator did anything wrong, I think. Boil it down and The Terminator is just a simple chase film, while Robocop has satire and a little bit of heart going on.

I really need to see The Terminator though. Haven't seen it in years and my old DVD would lock-up just as Arnie started blasting the rozzers in the cop-shop.

Terminator all the way. Oppressive film with some low budget affects.

Is it one of the early ones? I remember having to post mine back to Warner. Some production problem meant the discs were unplayable after a few weeks.

Can't recall it was a couple of years ago. May have been a special edition.

Yeah like the the 6000 SUX car... Loved that reference to the American fuel guzzlers. Was it the first Robocop that had that blue sun screen cream because the ozone layer is gone at the time of the ad being broadcast?
