It's just a real shame that mine arrived blighted with some seriously heavy damage to the top the the spine... this kinda spoiled it a bit for me. What should have sat proudly on my bookshelf now looks mighty ugly. :(

>RE problems with the spine
I didn't notice creaking pages as other noted. However, the front cover had no stiffness/resistance when opened and just flopped right open flat. For some reason the front cover appears to have been folded right back on itself and a *crease* pressed into it (... and dangerously close to the binding I should add).

Sorry to hear :( Drop me a PM and I'll get another copy sent your way :D

Some big news this week :D Work on PN2 is well underway and have some fantastic articles lined up. Expect a newer, fresher and even more professional look this time around as the design team has grown. Been listening to the feedback from PN1 (still available if you haven't picked up a copy!) and doing our best to improve things. Already had a couple of page samples back and simply put they look fantastic 8) Too early to show them off just yet but we are well on track for a July release!

A brief update but one thing we are looking for is more writers. So much to cover and so little time so if you want to take part in the biggest retro publishing revolution :P just drop me a PM.

Yep, Pixel Nation #2 is shaping up really nicely indeed. It is going to be very rewarding watching the publication grow and evolve.

I also hope to have some rather exciting news for you guys soon about Pixel Nation in a commercial sense. Will drop the bomb as and when I can !! :D

Couple of new titles added to U-Publish, PC Engine Gamer and ZX Spectrum Gamer:

http://pixel-nation.co.uk/index.php/onl ... gine-gamer

http://pixel-nation.co.uk/index.php/onl ... trum-gamer

There's 8 issues available and all free to download. It's a very good start for the U-Publish concept as I want this to grow and offer a central download section for people to visit. We will offer free downloads as well as books/mags that authors want to sell so it's well worth checking back. Just in talks with another author for a further 4 magazines, so more to follow!

@ Turbo Outrun,

Instead of copy/pasting the same thing in eight (at the last count) different threads maybe it would have been better to contact Retro_Heart / Steven Gauntley by telephone given that he's listed his mobile number on the Pixel Nation site's 'Contact Us' area.

You are right, and I'm sorry to bug other users with this. I just want most of the people involved in retro gaming to know how Retro Heart operates so that they can hopefully avoid the same treatment I was given.

By the way, I already tried to contact Steven G. with an SMS to his mobile...no reply, of course...same as with countless emails. He replies immediately to new customers but ignores those who he owns money to...smart guy...

Hey Turbo Outrun

I have been offline this past week, sorry I did not see your e mail. Not going to moan, but yes, I have been dealing with some very challenging personal issues with my family recently, very sorry if this affected the service that I gave you.

If you check your Pay Pal account, you will see £40 in there that I just sent you this morning. I trust the matter is now taken care of to your satisfaction.

Thanks and Kindest Regards

ps - I notice that you said you treid to text me, Just so you know I definately did not receive any text messages or phone calls from you.

I confirm that I got a refund this morning. Thank you, I will now post in other topics to update on this. It's a pity that I had to arrive at this point in order to have a reply from you in the last 2 weeks (not just 1 week) while you were replying to others at the same time but at least this is closed now. Thank you.
