Computer tennis games

Can anybody think of some good 8-bit computer tennis games. Specifically with celebrity endorsements?

No celebrity endorsement, but Match Point should be a good starting place.

Two player Match Point on my mates 48k speccy, both of us playing on keys... Pure class.
Oh, I'm sure there was a Jimmy Connors endorsed 8bit tennis game but it was not too great as I recall. :D

Can't think of any Celebrity endorsed ones, but Match point on the Speccy is a brilliant starting point, even non-tennis fans like that one!

International 3D tennis was a strange beast, released late in the Speccy's life with weird Vector graphics..

It was very good - my fav tennis game on the C64.

I also like On Court Tennis by Activition, even if the player look like they are having a fit when then run onto the court!

Released by Commodore, but not by Andrew Spencer, who wrote Int. Soccer/Basketball. Lemon reckons Andy Finkel did that game (and also ports of Omega Race and Lazarian).

To my mind, 'proper' tennis games have dated terribly. The likes of Virtua Tennis on the Dreamcast showed what could be done, and so On Court Tennis, Passing Shot, Matchpoint and International 3D Tennis are pretty painful these days (although some are better on 16-bit machines). Pro Tennis Tour's probably the best of the games on the C64.

I used to play Adidas Championship Tie Break, not that great and not really a celebrity endorsement though.

International Tennis by Zeppelin Games was a fair attempt at the sport too. on Speccy and Commodore.

Always loved Tennis on the Gameboy - and that had Mario as an umpire! He's a celebrity, isn't he...!

The best one for me is easily Passing Shot on the Spectrum by Image Works, also a conversion of a Sega arcade game.

International 3D Tennis by Sensible Software for the C64 got me into videogame journalism, so I have to mention that one
