Got the TV working again last night so I downloaded the first Paper Mario from the VC and started that. Obviously it's much rougher round the edges compared to the Gamecube and Wii sequels but the same familiar style and charm is there. Only managed to do the prologue stage so I'm hoping to spend some more time with it later.

Dreamfall (Xbox) - although, so far, it's just reading text & button pressing (reminding me of Shenmue) I'm enjoying it.

This is on my to play list. I loved The Longest Journey so ive got high hopes for this.

I hadn't heard of either of them, but I've just added Dreamfall to my Lovefilm rental list.

Completed the "Pit Of 100 Trials" on Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, I was down to my last mushroom but I did it!

Like Hawk said, Dreamfall is the sequal to The Longest Journey. Its probably my favourite point and click adventure (not that ive played an awful lot of them). Not sure how necessary it is you play the first, i imagine Dreamfall gives you some sort of synopsis of the previous adventure at some point.

Not so far!!! It's bizarre.
Like I said, reminds me of Shenmue (gameplay-wise) but the first time
the story deviates I thought "WTF is going on here???"

But still, enjoying it.

Following my point and click adventure spree, ive moved on to Still Life on PC.

So far so good! Didnt realise it was going to be so violent. Spent my time so far examining a crime scene, taking evidence and looking at photos of corpses. Looking forward to playing the role of detective. Anything dark and disturbing always appeals to me

I had a quick blast on the Shinobi remake on 3DS

It is absolutely fantastic!! Separate buttons for Katana & Kunai attacks, a parry move and some super cool 3D visuals (that horse riding section is awesome) all make it really impressive. The hard-as-nails difficulty seals the deal, I can't wait to spend some more time with it and see how far I get

Really enjoyed Still Life when I played through it last year, like the two story lines but got frustrated at some of the puzzles, especially making the cookies
