Quake on PC via steam.

Love how chaotic old school shooters are. The final boss was very underwhelming though. You dont even fight it, you just kill the monsters surrounding it.

Am I right in thinking that the last boss monster is a big spider? I do remember that the first boss monster on Quake, was the one which you used the lowered pillars on(quite easy - if you knew how to do it).

Kinda was. I was hoping for something along the lines of Doom with a big arena full of weapons where i blast the living hell out of some massive demon. Instead you get a flesh tree thing that doesnt do anything.

But BAR that, an awesome game.

The bosses on Quake are a bit lame.
They are all about figuring out how to beat them rather than "Shoot at it till it dies"

Edit
Fallout brotherhood of steel.

Speaking of lame last bosses..................

Aliens VS Predator-360-

I'd finished the Marine campaign back when it was released just over 2 years ago and found it underwhleming. I went back this week and played the Predator and Alien campaign back to back, and thoroughly enjoyed them both. Well worth a play through.

Saw the end credits of Professor Layton & The Last Specter last night, although I've still got dozens of puzzles uncompleted. Plus there's London Life to play through as well.

Okay, thank you for the reply. I think I only remember being in some sort of circular room for the last boss in Quake.

Blasted through the story mode of Pac Man 3DS.

With only 3 boards it's somewhat lacking, needless to say the 'story' was one of the lamest in video game history  but the game itself is pretty good solid fun. I won't hunt all of the game's achievement thingies but I'll definitely return to it at some point.

I completed Uncharted 2: Among Thieves on Hard difficulty. Probably one of my favourite PS3 game (or shall I say sequel) as I enjoyed every moment of it, especially those incredible set pieces from train wrecks to truck chase. The boss battle at the end was really something that it build up the excitement. Brilliant stuff!

It's an improvement to the previous game as there're much things been put to it that made it special. Overall it's another classic. Might replay it again on higher difficulty.

Portal 2 - A few weeks ago it suddenly occurred to me that I'd never actually bought this even though I love the original. It only took me a few days to complete, but that was due to the fact it was so damn good I only put it down to go to work and bed. Normally I don't like puzzle games, but this is wonderfully intuitive and logical - the slogan "now you're thinking with portals" really is apt, as you get round to the game's way of thinking.

Without posting spoilers, the story is brilliant and compelling. You learn a lot more about GLaDOS, the brilliantly written villainess who you simultaneously love and hate. Haven't played the co op yet since I need too find a partner, but I'm sure it will be good. The only minor part I didn't like was the large outdoor areas, where you have to spend ages looking for the one bit of wall you can portal to

Uncharted 3 - PS3

Certain parts were impressive but overall, I didn't enjoy it as much as the second game. Perhaps I am tiring of the style.
