I'm at what was a poly until 1992 and it still offers one of the closest-to-vocational Computing courses in the country. Right now I'm doing a report not on theory and stuff like that, but on code I've written on a project I worked in a team with.

Seriously? Was it from Amazon or from a person business thing? Haha, maybe the mail people took it out and played it, and broke the case. So they just sent it to you in the bag because they didn't have anything else. xD
it was a preowned one from some bloke, not happy as it only cost £1:10 to post and I was charged £2:10 for postage

Cats, of the pet variety.

Long story short, my cat went out this evening, did not return by 10, this is rather odd. Went outside to find it and I hear this meowing in the distance. Now my house backs on to a school playing field, there is a huge metal fence and at the backs of the houses, it is also rather overgrown with stingy nettles and trees. So after a while I decide to investigate, I go straight to the back of my garden and start fighting my way through the thicket, after about 12 houses away from mine, I see this big fluffy cat, on the otherside of the big metal fencing in the school grounds, shouting at something in the darkness. God knows how he got in there, but he would not budge at all, in desperation I call the missus over to try and coax the cat out, it likes her more than me  . This worked after a while and it disappeared in to the thicket, being an expert cat tracker now, I try and find it.....no luck after another 5 mins, until I hear this huge meow from another garden and there it is, squaring up to another cat  , just get back in the bloody house!!

So now an hour later, the cat is finally back in the house and will be grounded for the time being! I am covered in stings from the nettles, and wondering why we do all this for pet animals!!

I don't know why you do it for cats, they're terrible creatures IMO. Dogs, on the other hand, are awesome.

People who sniff grind my gears. People who sniff incessantly. Blow your f**king nose!!!

censored gaffers that like to think they can change employment law as they see fit

Not gonna say much more about it as I got into trouble the last time I talked about an employer on here

But it looks like a trip to the Job Centre is in order... on the bright side it's took them 2 years to shaft me... Kwik Fit hold the current record, back in '94 it took them just 3 weeks to censored me over

This heat. More specifically, the mugginess and horrible oppressive feeling it's giving me. The warm weather in general I can get on with; the sun is out, women wear less clothes and a cold drink never tasted better but I absolutely hate the muggy evenings. The TV finally consigned itself to the bin earlier but before it did, it gave me reason to start banging it with heat-induced rage in order to get it working again. This scientific technique worked once but not again so I gave up in disgust :|

I think the reverse.

This is what annoyed me today: People who don't reply to PM's when you know that they have read them. If if you don't have time to write a proper reply it takes about 2 seconds just to say I will get back to you later. :x

If that's about the topic pinning, I read it but don't have the powers (I can only delete/edit posts as a spam killer), so I referred it to someone else. Hopefully it'll get sorted out for you soon.

This is why I disable read receipts on my office email. Opening a message is not indicative that the contents have been properly read or acted upon in any way, only that it has been opened.

I get up and get in the car at 6:15am every day to collect my cat from his hunting ground by the river, else he won't come home on his own once the traffic starts.

Feeling like sh!t

Went out for a few scoops last night, nothing too crazy. Woke up today with a head that felt like it is being repeatedly smashed with a mallet and have proceeded to crap and puke at the same time. I now feel like I have take one hell of beating and still feel as sick as a dog. Surely 5 pints shouldnt do this much damage? Im considering becoming T total.

But maybe it was sunstroke...

The block of flats for the down and outs that's near us. Every single time I walk to work, there's some chavvy twonk standing out front, smoking, not working, in all designer gear. "Inni, Bruv" "Yeah, Bruv" "'Sup, Blood"

So why are they terrible ? Dont tell me youre one of these people who simply hate cats as its done the odd poo in your garden ? I can see why people might not be keen on cats but 'terrible creatures' ? How come ? If they really were 'terrible creatures' they would be quite an uncommon pet !

Yeah, the heat's no fun at night. I suffer from hayfever as well, so that makes it even worse. Being all stuffed up and muggy is 'orrible.

Having said that, the girl I saw jogging this morning almost made up for it

Cats are the perfect pets for lazy people. If you're going anywhere you just leave them outside and they'll find their own food. Plus, you don't have to exercise or clean them, they do that for themselves too. Love'm!
