Okay guys I admit it has gone off topic so let me get back on by saying that the Bee Gees were pretty unique in pop music because their best period happened a decade after they first made it big, and with a completely different style. What impresses is how they matured - "Woman In Love" and "Heartbreaker" are thirty-something love songs, nothing like the teenage pop they churned out back in the 60s. Mick Jagger and Keith Richards on the other hand were stuck in 18-till-I-die mode, which is why by 1978 they were a self-parody. Their disco/dance records were also rhythmically brilliant. I think the Bee Gees' success was totally deserved.
