I'm still playing FEAR, it's ok for the moment, simple and easy to get into and genuinely creepy in parts. There's one bit where you press x to go down a ladder and as you spin around that creepy little girl is standing where you just were, that bit made my skin crawl :|

The game reminds me an awful lot of Half Life, mainly because of the enemy soldiers and their radios, and the graphics ain't much better

Yeah, vividly remember that part from the demo that was released on XBL. That was the moment I was hooked.

Alot of Valley Without Wind. Yeesh, I really just cant get enough of it.

And then Binding of Isaac finally updated with the big expansion, tried that out.... the game went from "decently challenging sometimes" to "miniboss stole all my money and then looked at me funny and I died". Half of playing it tonight was me wondering what in the hell was going on. Been a long time since I've seen an update as bloody confusing as this one.

SPEAKING of confusing updates, gonna also do some Dwarf Fortress, which also updated.

LOTS of Persona 3 Portable determined to finish this but despite my previous experience of fully completing Persona 3 and Persona 3 FES on PS2, the lifespan of this game is still staggering me. It seems like I've been playing it forever

Also some original Gameboy stuff with Wave Race and Bomb Jack, the former because I loved it as a kid (and I think it's quite underrated) and the latter because I was inspired by Club RG. Never played any version of Bomb Jack before but it seems a simple, enjoyable and tight arcade game. Hate that bird/vulture though...it KNOWS where to come to kill me

Between discovering some classics on the c64 and the speccy emulator on my DS (cheers Trev!) , I'm having a major retro fest and comparing games across formats. Have to say , my love for some things has definitely been lost. Or maybe I just dont have to make do with what I have any more.

Shadow Warriors by Ocean , I am looking at you...

On another note , would love to have seen Hammerfist updated or re-used - still quite enjoying it even now.

I kinda really liked FEAR. Sure, the scenery is repetitive, but the combat and set pieces are brilliant. It also helps that it is bloody scary in parts.

Having bought it months ago I finally opened up Deus Ex: Human Revolution, I was instantly engrossed.

I've started a no kill, no alarm, super hard playthrough and it's great fun because of it. Sleuthing my way through environments like a super secret ghost. Then I came to a boss fight that resulted in me running around like a blue-assed fly, tossing red barrels at him. After my 80th attempt I finally took him down, they're certainly poorly designed.

No worries mate :) Make sure you play 3D Deathchase. Its still as good as it ever was, barring the awful sound effects.

Finding myself coming back to Twinkle Star Sprites quite often, a lot of fun though it does all feel a little too hectic sometimes.

Also, Witcher 2. Bloody amazing game, the most fun I've had with an RPG for a long while! :o

To be fair isn't it Uncharted 2 that people rave about?

Uncharted 2 is a big step up from the first one. Uncharted 1 is a solid game, some cool moments and it kept me entertained until the last chapter (which kind of ruined is slightly for me) but it was Uncharted 2 that really made me enjoy the series.

I have only played the third one, which I very much enjoyed, particularly the first few levels, but I have to say that I took issue with the lack of depth in the gameplay. Its also quite repetitive. I enjoyed it from start to finish and found it fun with some superb moments of spectacle in there.... but I would have like a little more substance in the gameplay department and a little bit more variety.

Well, those are actually GOOD games! Get tired of watching people complain about them because "casual", sigh.

Though Angry Birds does often make me wanna launch the iPad out the window; fortunately I avoid doing this due to the "it cost me $500" part.

As for what I'm playing.... still Valley, mostly. Might fire up Pink Sweets later though.
