Wheelie was the first of their games I have vivid memories of, not so much for the gameplay as the incredibly detailed deaths. Having the motorcycle rider crashing thrown over the bars was both shocking and satisfying, so much so you almost didn't mind losing a life. It had that blend of risk and reward that works so well, where turning on the speed made the jumps easier, but also offered much greater peril from other hazards.

I do have a soft spot for Sky Ranger. A brave attempt at urban flight combat that did its job and no more, fun for a while but it soon gets repetitive.

Skool Daze is the one that really pushes buttons. The sequel is superior, but the nostalgic familiarity of the old skool still draws me back time and time again. I've come close to completing it, but the satisfaction is in the gameplay itself rather than the final challenge. Still holds up well today, the Oric port was very popular with children and adults alike at last year's Replay. Here's hoping the final bugs are squashed and it sees a release soon.

The Skool games by a country mile, head and shoulders above their other titles. So original, so British in many ways, most I know edited it to mirror their own school and take their frustrations out on it-very cathartic!

Although the Skool games were brilliant, I have to go for Contact Sam Cruise, it was just excellent, a very involving plot, really atmospheric, and the attention to detail was astounding, I loved the little touches like going back to the office and pulling the window blind down, very classy game.

I remember enjoying Sky Ranger back in the day, but playing it last night, it was actually boring as hell, looked pretty good though, Also loved Wheelie, spent a good few hours on that.

How many games did they do? it's always better to put up a list with the original post, most people probably cant be ar5ed searching the web to find out if they should be picking anything other than Skool Daze/Back to Skool........

For me it was Skool Daze, I spent hours at real school and then came home and spent hours in a virtual school. Madness.

My cousin liked wheelie, I clearly remember him getting near a ramp and then quickly bending over with ear to the spectrum to get the right sound of the bike engine that he knew got him over the jump. Effective but ludicrous to look at.

I liked Skool daze and back to Skool , when I first loaded up Skool Daze, it was on my Computer Hits compilation, I just watched the demo for a few minutes in amazement, the speed of all the kids walking around was like my very own Grange Hill episode, absolutely brilliant!

I didn't even know who they were. So I looked them up and they weren't exactly prolific, were they?

So my answer would probably be like I suspect many others would be: Skool Daze, on the basis that I have played it.

Its got to be Skool Daze. It allowed you to change all the characters names and this was pure genius. Every kid in the country could now make this THEIR school and run riot around it. If it was remade today on modern consoles it would probably get the same notoriety as the GTA series.

I'd have compared it with Canis Canem Edit personally ;)

This question is a bit too niche to get a massive response, don't you think? Also, there were not an awful lot of titles from that publisher so Skool Daze and sequal are the obvious answers.

I think Skool Daze is the only Microsphere game I've played so that'll have to be my default favourite.

There were only a few to choose from, but it has to be Back To Skool for me - I remember it came in an exotic red cassette box and I'd spend ages with my mate Pottsy typing in real names of the kids at my school...
