Currently playing Castlevania Portrait of Ruin and Zelda Twilight Princess.

Both superb to play but the motion control on TP was a stupid choice as it does nothing to enhance like SS does.

The 2nd, loved the first one!!

I've avoided TP on the Wii for that reason, I'll just stick to my GC version.

I did like the Skyward Sword controls though. It wil be interesting to see what direction they go with the next Zelda on Wii-U, will they abandon the motion plus controls for more traditional controls so they can include the new touchscreen controller?

It's not a bad game by any means but I'm struggling to see why it achieved such high review scores. I'll keep plugging at it for a bit to see if it picks up or not.

Oh, that feeling never really goes away. Soulless is the best word to describe it.

Well I'm up to the third world now and the challenge is ramping up (especially with getting those star coins) so I'm enjoying it more but it's still not as incredible as some reviews made out at the time. Solid but not memorable like the old NES/SNES games.

I really enjoyed it when it came out at first. Looking back its one of my favourite games on the system. I think it was a fun little game to play through. The Wii edition is good too, but I think it should have had a little bit more depth to its levels as it is on a home system. I haven't finished it even though I have had it quite a while. I'm not that over excited about the new versions on Wii U and 3DS as I have been there and done that, so hopefully Nintendo will deepen the gameplay experience and make these games worth getting for those of us who have the two originals. I would love to see a Super Mario World structure with secret exits and intricate level designs for example.....

I have decided otherwise, and am correct because I say so. As per the usual. :D

As for myself, more Valley, more Minecraft. Trying to get a handle on the game's new features. Trading system is interesting but will require some work; enchantment system changes are VERY nice but need tweaking; I shouldnt be able to go up 7 levels just by mining ONE seam of coal. Yay for in-development builds.

If by "wrong" you mean "correct in every way while being totally awesome", then yes. Wrong indeed. I must be wrong pretty darn often, then. :D

The original Sonic the Hedgehog (XBLA version) now that it's over 20 years old I feel it's about the right time to play it.. I might even complete it

Played a lot more Street Fighter X Tekken last night and gave Mega Man a go. Aside from his limited move set, he's pretty damn strong but also easy to spam with his uppercut and projectile moves. Also used Chun-Li who I never really bother with but she's a really great character for fast combos. Since I tend to mix teams up, I only discovered yesterday that you get unique intro and ending sequences for using the preset teams  . That'll keep me going a lot longer then. It's a broken, overblown and often disappointing game but I'm still loving it for some reason.

Also some more New Super Mario Bros. on DS (still feel a bit 'meh' towards it) and Persona 3 Portable on the PSP.

Finally, I played the demo of a game called Crash Time 4: The Syndicate on PS3. It's getting fairly crappy reviews and is pretty low-key but I think it's great! . The cars are fun to thrash about and the crashes are sometimes bizarre in a way that reminds me of the PS1 Driver games. The in-game dialogue is also so bad it's good  . Think I'll try and get the full game if I can see it cheap.

I've returned to skyrim after a break.. really enjoying it all over again, appreciating how fantastic it looks to climb a mountain and look out across the landscape. Breathtaking.

Also been having fun with the spectrum emulator on.the ds... Enjoying earth shake...

I don't have the luxury of the gamecube version!

Regarding the Zelda future, i'm 99% sure they have said they will continue to use the SS system. That is perfect for me because I found it a joy from start to finish due to the motion control. With enhancements, it could be even better.

I was showing a couple of people the best games on the Wii and it was fun demonstrating Kirby's Epic Yarn, Sonic Colours, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Donkey Kong Country Returns and New Super Mario Bros. Wii. You have to hand it to Ninty, they made some superb games in the latter days on the system - and Sonic Colours is the best Sonic game out there in my view. Great system - pity it was censored to begin with.

I'm also playing away at Pokemon Link, might beat it tonight, might not.

I'm still plugging away at The Last Story too. Upt to Chapter 28-ish. Picking up after a bit of a lull. I've also given considerable time to Daytona USA, Soukyugurentai and Super Mario Land 2 on the Game Boy. Can't go wrong with any of those lot :)

^ Aye, some great dialogue in there, and a decent challenge if you're going for the non-lethal playthrough.

Ar Tonelico Qoga is turning out to be absolutely ridiculous in the best possible way; the big draw of the PS3 for me are all the silly JRPGs available. :o

I thought about getting that but after watching some gameplay i thought it looked awful! But then lots of people hate Cross Edge and i loved that. I have Trinity Universe to play yet and still want Hyperdimension Neptunia as that really does look insane
