I watched the last episode of 'Mad Men'(season 5). Great stuff. Sky Atlantic are repeating the series from the beginning from next week. The last episode was rather melancholic. I fear that Don might go back to his old ways! I loved the use of 'You Only Live Twice' for the closing credits. So much atmosphere in the series. This season has been more about the characters than a strongly driven storyline, but it did have a few surprises in store. A great TV series.

I then watched more of 'Grimm'. Pretty good, but this series is going to have to come up with the conclusion sooner.

I also watched more of 'Being Human'. Decent stuff, I hope that Watch show all of the series.

I went to see Prometheus. I liked it - it was escapist fun for two hours. I thought the visuals were pretty amazing (though maybe a bit too slick for their own good). I even lied the 3d elements which I thought were mostly subtle. And it tied into the Alien universe, which I've watched since I was a kid.

But yes, you could fly the Prometheus spaceship through some of the plot holes!

I'd like to recommend 'Wrecked' with Adrien Brody.

The Matrix Reloaded. Neo's first battle with the Smith clones and the freeway battle are still amazing to watch. Typically though, I still managed to lose all understanding of the plot near the end when Neo meets the Architect - just like the last time I watched it  . A very nice dosage of Monica Bellucci though

Just got Revolutions left to re-watch now though I vaguely recall it being a bit drawn-out and dull compared to the first two. Hopefully me memory is playing up on me...

Astro boy 2003 original Jap dub

It was a victim of the 2000s censors it seems as theres a load of bits pointlessly taken out of the English dubs. Also the intro tune is a lot better (and annoyingly catchy)

It's not, apart from the robot battle thing it's utter bilge.
Watched the Descendants with George Clooney, very good film indeed.

Tron: Uprising.

Two episodes in and its been not bad at all, it holds promise. Much setting up of things in the first two episodes so it should settle down now.

Art style is a bit odd, not sure why they made the characters so lanky, but everything else looks great.

There is one thing though.

This character didn't sit quite right with me, he seemed out of place in Tron and I could't work out why...

Then it struck me...

Its Duane Dibbley!

The Matrix Reloaded is a pretty good sequel. the car chase and rescuing Trinity are pretty good to the story development. It perhaps gets a little bit pretentious here and there - with 'The Architect' and so on, but still has something worthwhile about it.

The third film - oh dear! What a pile of ****! It disappears up its own backside! Such a disappointment!

Last night, I watched more of 'Justified'. A pretty steady season from Rayland and co. Next week's episode is the last one of the season.

I then caught up on more of 'Awake'. Two episodes back-to-back.

Well I re-watched Matrix Revolutions last night and I...enjoyed it? True, it probably went a little too far but the robot battle was awesome and I loved the final showdown with Agent Smith. Surely one of the coolest movie bad guys out there?

The only thing that p1ssed me off is that I still don't understand the ending and how Smith (and his clones) die by trying to change Neo. Can anybody explain it?

I believe Neo was basically a Virus by that point, or a patch maybe, and by 'joining' with him they were infected with the cure.

I saw The Last Exorcism last night, which was just plain rubbish. Very disappointing. I'm glad I didn't bother going to the cinema to see that one.

Followed by that I watched The Uninvited, which I quite enjoyed. Should've seen the plot twist coming a mile off, but was quite tired last night so caught me by surprise.

Last night I watched 'Thunderball'. Meh. It is not one of the best Bond's. Okay, the underwater photography is amazing - but the film has a lot of problems. The pacing is wrong, too many underwater sequences(they were better done in other Bond films - notably 'License to Kill'), Largo is not a good bad guy, the storyline seems uninvolving(I think the remake 'Never Say Never Again', although it was a bit corny in places, was better developed), the Bond girl seems uninteresting(although very beautiful). Only really the opening segment seemed the most interesting part of the film(with Bond having a fight with a SPECTRE agent in France). The film goes on for far too long as well. A shame as it was directed by Terence Young(who did 'Dr. No' and 'From Russia With Love'), but it fells very flat as a film.

I then watched more of 'Awake' with Jason Issacs(hello to him! ). Two episodes. I wonder how this series is going to end? Especially as it was cancelled so early.

That makes sense. It's just very easy to lose track of what's happening especially when it gets to the Architect bit in Reloaded which is where - I assume - the 'truth' about Neo is explained. Cheers for the explanation anyway :)
