NTSC SNES

Someone please help!! I have just bought a nice boxed NTSC SNES, I have got the right step down plug etc but when I turned it on I get no picture! The red power light is on but there is nothing on the screen. I have quite a new Samsung flat screen tv. I was told new flat screens would support 60htz, is this true?

My US SNES does run on my Toshiba LCD but not sure if all are compatible. You might want to try it on another TV first.

I have an NTSC SNES that runs fine on my Sony Bravia. Are you using the A/V lead that came with the system? If it's one that the scart plug can be taken off you could try the composite phono input rather than the scart socket.
