My faithful old first gen 360 finally gave up the ghost today. It was about 4 years old, which isn't bad seeing as the early models have the life expectancy of Barrak Obama at a KKK rally. It wasn't the RRoD oddly, but the disc tray (which only ever worked if there was a disc in it) which died. Went straight out and bought the 250gb slim, which now means I have a real hard drive and HDMI output. More importantly, it's black so matches everything else on the shelf

Ive got a slim, much better than the first gen machines. But whoever claimed they are whisper quiet (and got away with it) is having a laugh.

My first of 3 first gen machines lasted about 1 week, but if I was to count up the actual playing hours I reckon it would have been no more than 8.

OMG! What a ridiculous week! I just ended up getting Under Defeat for the Dreamcast and a set of component cables for the Gamecube!

Add that to the PS2 titles and Gunbird 2 earlier this week and I think you can call it a major splurge...

Ant
PAL PS2, GC+freeloader, PAL PS1 (Jp-import-chipped), Jp Sega Saturn, PAL DC

Some great purchases there!

Tell me, does Robo Aleste have any relation to Super Aleste?
