Are you destroying the Maoi as you go, Amidststorm? I seem to not be picking up potential points somewhere.

I'm already milking the volcano for all its worth.

Milking the volcanoes is key to a score in the 500+ range for me. I've cleared the first loop on as low as 280k before with not losing a life until 1-7. with milking, you get About 50-60k per life on the volcanoes and go into 1-2 on your last life. It's risky because of 1-3 being such a censored but stages 1-4 onwards I pretty much never miss an enemy til 1-7.. Re-milking the volcanoes on 2-1 is something I haven't wanted to do because the second loop is so nuts.
