Pop up and see me, Titch and Meaty when you're in Annan mate, it's only 15 miles from where we live.

In the 80s Aberdeen were one of the best teams in Britain (and Europe) and Dundee United were a match for anyone including Barcelona (whom they beat home and away in 1987). However like in Spain, a change in the distribution of money plus a ridiculous 11-1 voting rule (meaning Celtic and Rangers can block anything they want) has led to this duopoly. In fact, there was a banner in a Spanish league game in 2010 that read “No queremos una otra Liga Escocesa”(“We don’t want another Scottish League”) They know what’s happening too.
For the long term future of the game, the SPL money must be distributed more evenly to stop the current two team tedium from happening again.

It's really not a new thing at all, out of all 115 years the football league has been going in Scotland, Rangers or Celtic have won in 97 of those years. It's infuriatingly dull, but hopefully Rangers liquidation could shake up the league and with fairer distribution of funds see some other clubs challenging.
