The little black boxes are hand made (and sprayed black) and hence a little shoddy. But considering how I thought they were going to turn out... really they're not bad :) - and the LEDs make up for it anyway I reckon..!

Thanks guys.

My wife has just called to tell me that a parcel has arrived for me at home, so I think the Invasive Action carts are finally here :)

I'll add more photos later. Not sure if I'll wait until all the Kikstart cases have arrived before selling them, or whether to let the first nine go to the above names on a first-come first-served basis. Note that when the large cases run out (they are from a very limited supply) that I'll resort to making my own boxes (as with invasive action) and drop the price accordingly to £10. If you'd prefer a small cheapy 'hand made' box then let me know.

Hey Kenz - no hard feelings, but I really can't do these any cheaper I'm afraid - they are fractionally below cost price as it is. The only person getting a free one is TMR - not sure if he even wants them though, so you could always ask him ;)

Heh, I think you misread my post - I was just kidding! I wouldn't expect (nor even want) a discount on a tasty item such as this. :)

It's all OK Kenz - I know you were kidding, but just wanted to re-itterate that I'm not trying to rip people off.

When the RGCD site is *finally* given a much needed update (waiting for a new logo at the mo') I'll add the *.CRT and *.ROM files online so people can make their own carts if they'd prefer.

I'm also considering opening up a C64 8KB Cart game development competition in the near future, so fingers crossed, there could be some more carts on the way...

If you go for the competition option and they're not too expensive, go for 16K cartridges 'cos i reckon there's room to do something pretty solid in that kind of space; 8K is annoying because either you have to write it to run straight off the ROM or build a 12K or thereabouts game and hope the cruncher can get it down...

i bet i can't enter anyway since i'm RGCD staff. =-)

Well, I need to find out how the 16KB carts work first. I've asked the guy who made these ones again to see if he can make them, and whether a single program can make use of a 16KB eeprom in the same manner as an 8KB one. I'm guessing that's what you wanted me to ask?

No comments on the photo's TMR? I thought you'd be impressed! :(

Anyway - you can enter the compo - but it means you can't be a judge ;)

Edit - also, I think that 16KB eeproms are considerably rarer than 8KB ones, meaning they'll be harder to source...
