Game Profile:
After Super Street Fighter II turbo was released on the Amiga 1200, GameTek made a wise decision to release this on the CD32, unfortunately it was not the killer app that the CD32 needed.
Considering that the CD32 was a games console, the CD storage would had been the perfect port for this game, but sadly this would not be the case.
Graphically this is stunning, the detail to the characters is excellent, GameTek took advantage of the CD storage by adding an upbeat soundtrack to the game.
But that’s where the problem lies too, giving that the CD32 had only 2mb ram for games, the detail becomes too much the CD32 as it chugs along, slowing down the game to an embarrassing speed when the battle commences.
If you where used to playing this in the arcades or even on the Japanese consoles, you would get frustrated with the slow down that marrs this game, however giving its rarity on the CD32, it's not surprising this game goes for insane amounts on eBay.
For the collectors only.
