Another really awesome game from the famous Bitmap Brothers, this time bringing you a thrilling platformer.
The game is about slaying your way through an ancient city to defeat all four so called "Great Guardians" who have stolen...err...the citadel. So much for innovative storylines. But the rest of the game is pretty great.
After witnessing the cool intro with its melodious title tune, you're instantly thrown into the action. Fighting lots of monsters is not the only thing to to, tough. There are always some puzzles waiting for you and lots of secret areas to discover. A nice feature is the scrolling text on the bottom of the screen which sometimes gives you hints what to do next or how the lever puzzles work. Sometimes it's better to wait to kill your opponents because some of them, like the "stealer", can reach areas which are impossible for you to reach. Just wait until he has the item you want and then send him to hell when he's near you.
Speaking of items, there's a very nice shop feature where you can buy health, new weapons or level up your existing ones.
The visual presentation is really great and colorful and the animation is good, too - only the scrolling is a bit jerky and the controls could be a little more responsive.
But overall this is an awesome platformer!
