Capcom Announces The Disney Afternoon Collection
Way back in the NES era, Capcom used to be known for pushing out high quality licensed Disney platform games at a terrifying rate – and now, six of them are being brought back as part of The Disney Afternoon Collection.
As the name suggests, the focus is on the studio’s after-school cartoon adaptations. DuckTales and DuckTales 2 are obvious inclusions focusing on Scrooge McDuck and his nephews; Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers and Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers 2 are late and graphically impressive games featuring the titular chipmunks; TaleSpin and Darkwing Duck round out the pack.
The collection is set to offer a number of enhancements, including a variety of visual filters for an authentic retro look, as well as brand new Boss Rush and Time Attack modes – sure to be popular with streamers and those who mastered the original 8-bit releases.
The package is scheduled to launch on 18th April for £15.99/€19.99/$19.99 as a digital release on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
