Fancy taking a trip back in time to the mid-2000s, when the PS2 was king and you couldn’t move for World War II-themed first-person shooters? If so, you might like to know that EA’s 2004 shooter Medal Of Honor: Pacific Assault is now available for free via the company’s Origin service. As always, it’s a limited time offer so you’ll want to snag it as soon as possible.

This PC exclusive title put players in the shoes of Pvt Thomas Conlin as he fought in the Pacific theatre – just one year after the similarly-themed console title Medal Of Honor: Rising Sun. The game was well regarded in its day, gaining good scores from the likes of Gamespot and Eurogamer.

If you haven’t used Origin before, it’s EA’s digital delivery service for PC gamers which competes with the likes of Steam and GOG Galaxy. You’ll need an account to get the free game, but it’s worth getting as the company has given away some excellent back catalogue content in the past including Theme Hospital, Command & Conquer: Red Alert 2 and Jade Empire.
