New Kickstarters announced – Sensi Book and Pro Pinball Revival
Amiga and Pinball fans are in for a real treat (hopefully if crowdfunding goals are met) with two new projects hitting Kickstarter: the first is a book charting the complete history of UK software house Sensible Software; the second is a revival of the classic pinball sim series Pro Pinball.
Both projects have already gained traction. Pro Pinball received a $10,000 backer within the first 9 hours of going live, while the Sensible book is already nearing a 3rd of its target with 141 backers with 30 days left to go.
Sensible Software 1986–1999 will tell the complete and definitive story of Sensible through interviews and anecdotes from those who were there – including Jon Hare and the Sensible team – and will also include comments from industry legends such as Gary Bracey, Peter Molyneux and Archer Maclean.
Pro Pinball: Revived & Remastered is being remastered by Silverball Studios, and will have the added involvement of Pat Lawlor, the legendary pinball creator behind the iconic Twilight Zone and The Addams Family tables. Lawlor’s contribution will be to design some new and exclusive tables for the revival, which will be coming to PC, Mac and iOS.
“Being involved with this project is hugely exciting”, said Lawlor of the project. “The team at Silverball is the only choice when it comes to virtual pinball. This project is like a dream come true for me too, without the usual economic constraints of the real world, I can explore design strategies that would normally be impossible.”
