Scooby Doo and the Cyber Chase (which I will refer to now as SDCC) is cute, fun Playstation platformer starring everyone's favourite cartoon hound Scooby Doo. Based on the cartoon of the same name, it is quite a fun game and a much better Scooby Doo games than the ones before it.

SDCC contains 18 different levels, all spread across all different periods in history. Ironically this is a video-game about a video-game as the story all revolves around the gang getting pulled into the game and trying to escape while at the same time trying to find out who is behind the mysterious virus.

SDCC plays like any other platformer. You kill enemies, collect Scooby Snacks and advance to the next level. While it may sound simple, SDCC is quite a challenging platformer. It isn't uncompletable but you will find places or sections where you feel challenged.

It is no surpise from playing the game that it is highly reminiscent of another Playstation platformer. Crash Bandicoot. While they look similar and share similar characteristics SDCC has enough uniqueness to make it not feel a cheap clone.

To conclude Scooby Doo and the Cyber Chase is a fun game. It isn't perfect but it is one of the best Scooby Doo games ever made. While it shares similarities with Crash Bandicoot, it is still fun enough to make itself stand out. If you are a Playstation collector, platform game fanboy or Scooby Doo fan I would give this one a try.
