I never played the arcade version of this. I used to read the comic and when my birthday came around I bought the big boxed verison for a tenner.

A really good platform / action adventure following the hero on his quest to stop the evil ruler. The cool thing for me was the ability to buy upgrades for your mace, armour boosts and treasure chest keys. This increased the aspect of having to trawl through the dungeons so that you did not miss anything just incase that urn on the higher platform contained something awesome. Many walls even have secrets inside them so you could look like a mental in front of your mates smacking a wall about only for nothing to happen.

Where the playability succeeds, the graphics really suffer. The attack of the C64 browny poop colour strikes again making the sprites look a turgid mess that bleed together quite badly. The less said about the block boss that looks like a few weetabix's jumping around the screen the better. Still I can not knock a game that plays so well and when you die you think 'just one more go' – that makes a game great.

It was release in 1984 and this amazing arcade platform type game has everything you need. You will fight using two different weapons at the same time; knifes and the spike chain ball. Your journey is to rule the dark and kind of medieval world and to be the absolute king. You’ll will find in your path different creatures to fight with, and on each level you have to fight a boss in order to finish each level.
