This classic arcade game was ported to the NES in 1986. With great graphics and addictive gameplay the game was just the same as the arcade version.
Except for one flaw because of the space on cartridges they had to leave level 3 out so the game only has levels one,two and four in it which takes away the arcade feel. This was the only fault with the game really the only other drawback was using a d-pad instead of a joystick to control Jumpman or Mario as he's now known.
The story is simple the gameplay is addictive but repetative and dull after a while and you can get bored fast. Also having to time going up ladders and jumping also can be annoying. These things said though the game is fun in small doses and has a place as a definative title because of creating arguably two of the most popular game characters of all time in Mario and Donkey Kong. The game has been ported to the wii virtual console for 500 wii points but personally I would leave this game alone and spend them on something better. But thankyou Nintendo for making a great arcade port and creating two of the most loved gaming characters in history.
