I always got a strange pleasure out of this one. In a way it was a mix of strategy and sports and the earliest version of Maddens “superstar” or FIFAs “Be A Pro” modes.

Picking your playter, nationality and onwards working your way to the top of the game by carrying out certain plans which you had to try to recreate on this pitch timing your runs to perfection so the games primitive physics engine could work out where you've caught the ball and crying as the ball drifts wide of the post. I got so much fun out of this game!
