Back in 1990, when I first received my Amiga 500, one of the first games out of the box was Tv Sports: Football.

I was massively into Gridiron at the time, so was impressed by the slick presentation and the TV style (hence the name I suppose) build up to the match.

Having only played C64 games really before, I was amazed by the quality of the visuals. But then, something happened…….

The actual game started! I just found it so unplayable to the point of frustration. I couldnt find a receiver with a pass, and couldnt break the defensive line on a run! And the jerky animation and slow frame rate didnt help at all!

Booted this game up again recently, and I still cant play it! I think this game is a classic example of "style over substance".

TV Sports: Basketball, is another story completely!
