Brutal Sports Football is exactly that, basically American Football without the rules and very violent. No rules means anything goes and that makes this a great game if you have a friend or two.

You can choose to take part in a single unfriendly match, a knockout cup or a league where you start in the fourth division and work your way up. Eight players can take part in a cup but not at he same time. There are plenty of teams to choose, some alien, some human as well as beasts that have horns, all of these have their own skills. Your players are all able to throw or kick the ball. Each team has a keeper who is normally stronger than outfield players so it's up to you to get past him.

The real fun begins when items appear on the pitch. Pick up a rabbit and your players are faster for a while, picking up a tortoise has the opposite effect. Bombs, shields and swords do alot of damage to an opponent. Hit a player enough times with a sword or shield and his head will come off. If a player is down you can stand over him and give him a good stomping. After a few minutes play, the pitch looks more like a battlefield.

Brutal Sports Football is a fun game. As a multiplayer game you couldn't really ask for more. The players are well animated whatever they are doing. As violent sports games go, this is up there with the best of them.
