This game took over much of my money in the arcades when it was released. i loved it then, and I love it now, especially on the Mega CD which to me is the definitive version.

Plotwise, is the same old story: gang take Mayor's daughter hostage, gloat to Mayor, Mayor is actually ex-wrestler (aren't they always!!) who gets two friends who are kung fu experts to help kick ass and save his daughter. Not much of a plot, but the action is fast, furious and the bad guys, you cant help but want to slap. Especially when you're beating the crap out of someone and the guy who likes to block (Axel) decides to be a wuss and punch you in the back!!! Satisfying when you land a flying kick into his head.

Controls are responsive and the sprites are well animated and detailed. Six levels are huge and the end of level bosses are a pain in the arse sometimes. It's a good thing that there are plenty of weapons to pick up and use (swords and pipes are a firm favorite!!!)

So, grab a friend, grab a pipe and bash some bad guy heads!!!!
