In this sequel to the great MIDWINTER game from 1990, you play a kind of agent who works for the so called Atlantic Federation. You'll have to save 41 little islands from being taken over by an evil dictator of the Saharan Empire.

Before you start your adventure, you can create your own character and his different skills which really will have an influence on how you will advance in the game. And you can choose from four different levels of difficulty. 40 missions wait to be mastered, either one by one or in a whole campaign.

Hundreds of inhabitants live on the islands, each with an individual life style. The islands are also stuffed with details like houses, palm trees, streets and mountains. You can explore this huge world by foot or take one of the many vehicles you'll find. You can go by train, take a jeep, drive trucks and tanks or fly in zeppelins and air planes. And since the story takes place in a world full of islands, you may also take a boat or even a submarine! If the travel takes too long for your taste, you may use a "speed up" function which will instantly beam you to your destination.

The vector graphics look really nice and more detailed than in the predecessor and the sound and controls are excellent, too.

MIDWINTER II is a great action adventure, filled with tons of options and things to do and offers hours of fun entertainment.
