Subtitled "The Story of Rainbow Islands II", this is the third part in the Bubble Bobble trilogy. In early preview versions, this game was actually called "The Story of Bubble Bobble III".This also is the first game in the series that did not appear as an arcade original but instead on the PC-Engine.

The game is divided into seven, very differently designed worlds which are subdivided into seven stages. On top of that there are three secret levels that wait to be discovered.

Your weapon is an umbrella (or was it a parasol?) with which you can send the many colorful enemies to heaven. Of course there are the usual extras to pick up like speed ups, smartbombs and extra lifes.

The coolest thing is that the two-player co-op mode is back again, so that you and your friend can control Bub and Bob simultaneously which is all the more fun, of course! You can help your buddy not only by fighting all those cute enemies together but also by jumping on his parasol to reach higher areas.

PARASOL STARS is a fun platformer with cute graphics, nice sound and fx and motivating gameplay.
