Pen Pen is one of the wackiest racing games I’ve ever seen. You control seven cute and weird characters that range from a big, fat hippo type thing to a dodgy-looking shark. Most of them are ice and water animals that is suitable to this racing game environment. It’s more appealing to kids, but adults may enjoy it all the same.
The graphics are extremely detailed, all of them in a cartoon style environment. The sweet-trees and houses in the Sweet course, snow that brushes away from your feet, rapid water racing and other bright and cheerful backgrounds that are really very detailed.

There are only four courses in Pen Pen, unfortunately. But each course has three different versions with various level of difficulty, which you must beat in order to advance.

The seven characters you play as, have a cutesy Japanese flavour that are quite freaky but will certainly appeal to younger gamers. All of them have their own special abilities and there are unlock able costumes and other extras to keep players interested .This is a very weird game and quite an overlooked oddity .Its especially great played after a few drinks with some mates, very surreal. Could do well as a Wii update.
