Six years before the guys at Core Design came to fame with a little adventure game called TOMB RAIDER, they showed their talent with this great platformer which runs a bit in the vein of the C64 game RASTAN.

You play Torvak, a warrior who's on a personal vendetta 'cause his hometown was destroyed by nasty scoundrels. Now that's an innovative background story, isn't it? So, Torvak grabs his axe and chips his way through enemy hordes.

In the early levels those enemies are orcs, insects and the aggressive flora but as you advance through the levels, the difficulty increases and you find yourself fighting evil zombies, humanoid rats, scorpions and other bad thingies that want to take your life.

The graphics aren't overwhelmingly great but look okay and the controls are pretty good. Five different worlds wait to be conquered, all with a distinctive look and all filled with lots of extras like collectable treasures or power ups.

All in all a very good and challenging platformer!
